I think this is most likely my problem. I have this jaw and chin problem (weak jaw and receeding chin) and it takes its toll on my face. Women say i look well: clean and nice, a nice guy face, im not kidding! that's how they put it. Not ugly, not hot, just nice| i guess it means not manly enough. I use braces to make matters even worse.

I'm trying to grow my beard, to hide my face structural problems. i dont know if that will help at all. my hair is thinning by the day, so a new haircut is probably out of the question. probably shave it all off or a buzzcut.

Djs here talk about the gym, but i think the ladies take the face more into account. I dont know how that will help. focus the attention elsewhere?

Still have braces? How old are you... teens? Braces can definitely hurt you because even though some people will say they don't mind them, in the back of their mind they're thinking 'no way'. With teenagers this is often overlooked because it's more commonly found in those age groups and the inexperience of youth typically doesn't care about it either because of the prospect of getting laid.

But once you're older in your 20s, yeah I would say they work against you appearance wise. Don't lose heart though. I commend you for getting this serious dental work done to help improve your hygiene and future self. Braces are an investment in yourself that can pay for themselves in the long run.

As for your 'manly' face problem, it's hard to say without seeing your face. What many might consider an example of a "typical" alpha male face, the square jaw, piercing stare of eyes, etc., a lot of men can't do anything about their bone structure in the face; you'll just have to deal with it. This is why some elect to grow beards. Trying different styles of facial hair can work to your advantage and women will let you know if they like it. Once you start getting flirty with them, it's always an added benefit to let them know your beard/mustache/goatee/whatever really helps when you're going down on a woman.

im 38. could only afford ($) to have braces when i was 34. its 4 years i have them on. my case was to be a surgery procedure but instead they removed a pre molar and tried a different approach. normal is to use braces for 2 years. i have retrognathism: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrognathism

4 years for braces? Wow that's some serious work. When I had braces in my early teens, I think I had them for 2 years.

But like I said, at least you are taking care of this issue whereas a lot of people would just let it go and their health could suffer.

i should have had that surgery, but the orthodontist was afraid it would go wrong. if i had done it im sure my shin would come forward and the jaws would be stronger they make a click sound when i eat. so instead of solving the problem they just went to a cosmetic approach, improving the smile only. cant say i'm happy.

talked with the orthodontist today, because i'm feeling this is not the direction i want to go. she said that now that the pre molar was removed that my only option is a mentoplasty or chin augmentation, she even offered to introduce to a plastic surgeon of her trust. should i go for it? will a chin implant give a + to a more manly face?

You're so self conscious.

Dude fvck it. Who cares how you look. You're stuck with it. Deal with it man.

You put WAYYYYY to much emphasis on the importance of women.

Do you. Find happiness within yourself. Chasing women WILL NOT BRING YOU HAPPINESS.

If your perspective is like this at 38 (I've read a lot of your posts) than you have a LOT of introspection to do.

You're making women SO much the goal in your life that you want to restructure your fvcking face.

Too much man.. Too much

My god, imagine me nit-picking a woman's features and all the sh*t I'd get into for that?

I would never put myself in a situation where I would be openly spoken to like that, and it seems that's what you have to go through if it means meeting females. From personal experience I notice a trend here that only the girls can get away with this. It's one thing to buy into the notion that 'women have it easier' but if that entitles them to directly discussing/rating physical features in a man, you can really just take a load off.

It does no good for one's confidence or mental health.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

you can say that **** again.

grow your beard out the best you can. if its patchy or just doesnt look right, shave it off. in reality, if you cant grow it fully, skip it.

screw your chin and jaw, bro, you cant change it. accept it and in time, you wont even notive it. trust me, just start saying "**** it" and sooner or later, it wont matter.

your thought = your actions.. its the way the human brain works.

INSTEAD, work on the way you carry yourself. ALWAYS walk with your chin up and dont drop it for any reason. ever. do that for 3 weeks and your confidence will jump up and women WILL NOTICE.

and theres ways around loosing hair now. i dont have the problem myself, but do some research. theres stuff out there, and not that $$, that cant at least make your hair look thicker for the day.

i have a conditioner i use that makes my hair look about twice as thick and just makes it feel great. the women love it. was it more expensive? yes - 18 dollars. the first bottle of it lasted me three years as i just got a new bottle on weds. 6 bucks a year? think i can afford it.

if you want the name of the conditioner, PM me.

good luck bro.
