Well, the fight is getting closer and closer. I originally thought it would be a blowout for Morales. But as it is coming closer, my thoughts are swaying............

This fight could be VERY VERY close, or could end up with either man on their back...........

any opinions?

At first I thought Morales by KO, possibly.

But then I remembered how Mexican Morales is lol, and invisioned him going face-first and trying to slug with the faster- harder hitting Pacquiao.

1. If Morales Boxes --
Morales UD/maybe late TKO.

2. If Morales doesnt box --
Pacquaio by KO-early.

Okay, here is my prediction.

Morales starts off good, circling away from the left, starts out boxing. Both taste the others power and are rocked a couple of times. Morales is getting the better of Pac and buildling up a small lead on the cards upto around the 7th. Pac then starts to come on, landing bombs as Morales tires and his punches loose their snap. Pac hurts morales bad and the ref stops it in the 10th after Morales is out on his feet.

Pac by TKO 10.

Man, there goes a huge change in my prediction.

The other outcome I see is Morales getting caught up in a war with Pac and landing a big right, stopping him within 4.

Only a week to wait.

Tomorrow is the big day, any change in predictions or any new predictions? The experts seem to be slit on this one, as am I. One of the hardest fights to call I think. Although I still remain, Morales has to stop Pac early, or he will be caught late by the energized little Pac! Morales seems to tire more in his recent fights.

This is how I think it will all go down. In the late rounds... Pacman catches Morales with a hard left that puts Morales on his ass- but he is not truly hurt by the punch, it was just the force of the punch that send him on his ass (happens often with lefty vs righty fights).

Pac will think that he has morales hurt because he sees Morales taking an 8 count before getting up.

Pac moves in for the kill- gets reckless and over anxious for the KO.

Morales plays possom.

Pac lunges in for the kill in typical fashion, and gets caught with a monster uppercut that makes him eat canvas.
Pac is unconscious!

Morales KO11

Mexicans celebrate.

who cares
i was watching a replay of the pac vs marquez fight last night, if morales is aware of pacs punching speed and power from the start, i think itll be morales fight. It wont be an easy fight, but i think that morales will KO Pacquio in the last rounds, maybe in the 10th or 11th. if the fight goes to decision, it will be a split decision for morales.

Well it was a great fight. I definitely wasn't disapointed.

Morales actually used his brain for the most part and boxed Pacquiao, which I didn't expect.

It was a close fight with tough rounds to score. I agree with the decision, but it really could have gone either way.

I'd like to see Morales vs Marquez next.

Yeah, the fight was good, although a little disappointing. Morales definately P4P, has lost a bit of his thunder, although his boxing was great in this fight and his stanima held up nicely. Biggest disappointment however, was that Pac seemed to loose some of his speed and a LOT of his pop. He looked a lot bigger at super-feather, but this looked to definately slow him down, and as a result, this is why I think his power as P4P quiet a bit less. Manny started his career at 105, so fair enough he didnt carry his power into super-feather.

Other than that, Morales definately showed why he should go down as a P4P great in the boxing books. I would personally have him higher than Barerra, and I am glad he won this fight (although I didnt pick it! DAMN, that is my last 2 predictions wrong now, guess that year long winning streak had to come to an end sometime). Next up, Coralles V Castillio, any opinions? This is basically the granite chin vs the huge punch.........

Clooney why do you say Morales lost his thunder? He really didn't press the attack as much as he usually does against other opponents, he actually boxed smart. Its not fair to say he lost any power.

Corrales vs Castillo could be a tough one......

I'll have to pick Corrales as he is probably the more athletic and harder puncher. Although Castillo is relentless and could turn this into a brawl.

Castillo has a great chin and is strong as an ox for a lightweight. Corrales will win the early rounds but Castillo's body work will get to the skinny man setting up a 9-10 round KO.

Jayer, I didnt mean to say he lost his thunder in this specific fight. But he definately does not punch as hard at super-feather at he did at his lower weights. He has not stopped an opponent in 4 fights (granted most have very hard heads). But still, against Pac he didnt look nearly as powerful in that right hand as he did in the lighter weights. Although Pac seemed to have lost even more of his pop, but then again, there were not many real clean punches landed in this fight.

Coralles V Castillo could be a very very tough one. The odds will be well in favour of Coralles, but I think the fight will be a LOT closer. Castillo has a granite chin, a good workrate and a GREAT pressure style. His last three fights have been against the best in the division, with Diaz, Casamayor (although the version of Casamayor that fought both Castillo and Coralles is past it), and Lazcano (although this was a lot closer IMO than the judges cards). Lazcano was accurate and racking up the points early, but like always Castillo is an animal down the stretch.

I seem to agree with Kid Quick, I think Coralles will nail him and rock him early, racking up the points for several rounds. But Castillos pressure will wear him down and make it a close close fight. I say a close points win for Castillo.
