i am doing some mass weight training to get bigger.

I do intense cardio. I grapple/wrestle and do muay thai. I want to bulk. Will i have to stop these intense cardio sessions in order to bulk?

i am literally shattered after a 2 hour session of grappling/wrestling so alot of calories will be wasted.. Will i not bulk if i continue this?

I am a hardgainer as it is and my body shape is ectomorph.

What must i do?:box:

Almost impossible unless you only train a couple times a week, I know from experience now.

Very difficult but not impossible. Focus on shorter workouts with an emphasis on heavy weights and compund movement. You're body is being put under a lot of stress, so you need to maximize what you do.

I'm going through the same issue right now. I train MMA at least a couple times a week and lift a couple times too. I've been keeping my size of about 180 lbs at 5'8 but my strength hasn't gone up too much. Not too worried about this because I have good numbers.

Also, be sure to REST..and EAT a lot.

I wouldn't worry too much though. I'm going a 3 month MMA training thing, then I'm gona focus on lifting for a cycle.

MMA is fun and it feels great. You can always cycle them and train in your offseason harder.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Basically the only way your gonna bulk properly, is lift hard and have a high calorie intake (obviously the right calorie intake, high carb and protein diet).
If you immensely train MMA, you're gonna be burning alot of calories, so you won't bulk as fast.

As workerouter said, it can be done, but you'll only grow slower. Although, the perks are instead of puttin on the fat with bulking, because of your intense cardio you'll look leaner as you grow. works for me.

the issue with weight gain when doing combat sports is more the CNS strain. you're walking the fine line of overtraining if you try to combine MMA and strength training, and if you do much you'll just go backwards in both pursuits
