I have a coworker who I have asked out before but she said that she doesn't date coworkers. Tonight she asked me what I was doing tonight and I said nothing was set in stone. And then I realized that I could ask what shes doing tonight...but I didn't. I could have invited her to a restaurant for some dessert or something. Damn ****ing shyness.

I just cannot read women...I suppose that I need to see the opprotunity and then sieze it without any hesitation. I have to change or I will never make any progress with women.

You could have, but your didn't. your both co-workers, you'll talk again with her and if she likes u enough, she'll offer another chance.

when she said she doesn't date co-workers she meant "i fear u won't be able to be professional about our relationship at the work place if we where to start dating".

so first thing u have to do, is be proffessional. and when the chance to see her outside work comes, show her how great u are as a person.

She told me that she doesn't date coworkers because she has dated coworkers in the past and that they didn't end well. Her explanation had nothing to do with me...unless she was lying and really giving me a polite brush off.

And last night she asked if I had plans and I said no not really, nothings set in stone...and I didn't ask her if she wanted to hang out because she had already told me that she doesn't date coworkers....although it wouldn't really be a date, rather it would just be hanging out.

I am so utterly confused. And I am professional while at work.

And if she said that she doesn't date coworkers then I am supposed to disregard her? What if I ask her out again and she brushes me off again. Then it would beeven more awkward.

And if she asks what I am doing tonight can I assume that she wants to hang out?

Ack...I can't believe what a naive AFC 25 year old chump I am. I admit it...
