So, what's been Michael up to?

Since being acquited of all charges against him (come on, they accused him of wanting to kidnap the family and take them VIA AIR BALLOON to BRAZIL, the case was ridiculous) he was invited by Bahrein's Prince as a royal guest. He stayed as such for a long time. He has been in the US, Los Angeles and New York, but in very very low profile visits.
He appeared at the MTV's Japan VMAs to recieve a Legend Award recently, being the first public appearance since July 2005.

But what about music itself? Well, he has been working and talking with the likes of Babyface, Rodney Jerkins, Sean Garrett (fergie's london bridge producer), Kanye West, Pharell, 50 cent and Eminem's people (he actually spoke well of Eminem), John Legend, (the frog song guy), and most recently, Will.I.Am, to name some. A choreographer that has worked with Michael in the past said he had been in talks about a new world tour.

Tomorrow airs the first tv interview with MJ in lots of time. He appears in where he is staying now (he no longer is in Bahrein), Ireland, and the interview is said to deal strictly with music. Access Hollywood, November 2nd. He is seen in the studio with Will.I.Am. That guy is the Black Eyed Peas guy. In the above click, the interviewer says "this is about you getting back into making music" and he answers "I never stopped". Cool!

On November 16th Michael is set to recieve an award (and in talks about performing) in England, in the World Music Awards. This was on 2000's awards.

I can't wait to hear a new single, to see a new video, to see him perform, see what moves he's got.

Damn, those artists he's talking with don't seem very appealing and MJ-like. I wish he would go back to making classics. His latest album is OK but nowhere near the quality he used to be. Get back to the old formula Michael! :D

A performer is never far away from their spotlight.

He's a weird, weird bloke. But a brilliant performer in his day. Unfortunately, it's no longer that day. I suggest he has a few cold ones and enjoys life for a while. Mind you, no amount of relaxation will get his mental health back, that's been shot to bits since well before my time.

A great singer with a disturbed mentality, that will never change.

People in this site should know the powers of the media.
Example: at the trial they said the jurors had explicit body language that showed that they were going to convict him, and that the evidence was enormous... that's preposterous. Same with his "downfall" (HIStory remains on top of the top 50 best selling albums of all time, Invincible was the fastest selling album overseas ever, and a remix album remains the biggest selling remix album of all time.)

Not that it matters, since in your reality MJ is different from my reality.

About the "disturbed mind", again, power of the media to overblow it. But then again, tell me one great artist in human history that had an "undisturbed mind". And that's artists alone, tell me about any personality in history of mankind with a "undisturbed mind".

I'm watching the interview. Did you watch the accesshollywood clip? Sounds cool, oldschool music to me.

History was a double disc, one greatest hits, one the new album. Greatest Hits comps generally sell quite well.

Invincible was the fastest selling album overseas ever, and a remix album remains the biggest selling remix album of all time
MJ has fantastic promoters. Just because an album is promoted like crazy and sells a lot of copies, it doesn't necessarily make it good. One example of this is the Doobie Brothers Cycles album. The album sold quite well, but it's a piece of 5hit.

Also, I don't think I own a single remix album in my entire collection.

I'm not trying to undermine MJs talent, I'm just giving the opinion of someone who normally ignores the media, album sales, promotion, and focusses solely on the music.

ramblings of a pissed of Beatle fan, MJ has sold more than the Beatles, not that it matters though. I respect your musical taste.
First part of the interview. Sounds A LOT like oldschool. Kind of short though. Let's see tomorrow.

Desdinova, arguing about subjective things would be a moo point. I love post-Dangerous era. HIStory is actually very interesting, there is no love song, nada. You can clearly see how he is frustrated with the whole ordeal.

Invincible was great IMO. Amazing songs, would have been great to see videos if it wasn't for Tommy... Did you know that Justin Timberlake's first album, was created by Pharell? Guess who that music was intended for? That's why it sounded so much like Michael.

I think SamePendo has stayed over at Neverland once too many times...

Edit: By the way, the above was sarcastic humor, and was not intended to seriously offend. My apologies.

It is you who is wrong . . . umm... submarine guy?

The Beatles disbanded in 1970.
The "Guniness Bood of World Records"'s figures also count the solo carreers of the members after The Beatles.

It's not a big deal unless you make it. I'd rather be competing over something that I do, than of someone else.

The Beatles were only together making records for 7 years.
It takes MJ sometimes that long to make one recording.
There is no comparison between the two.

Michael Jackson was a TRUE performer. He put out great albums, great singles, great videos. He was a trend setter in music and in styles, and a very respected individual by all races.

HOWEVER, I lost ALL respect for him when his album "INVINCIBLE" tanked. That's when his true race came through. The album was far from his best, and that's okay, but when he got on televsion and blamed the record company for being "racists" as the reason being his album didn't do well, that was it for me. Even somebody like Mike can't resist that race card...

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
