In case you can't tell by all the posting tonite, I'm a very bored man.

Anyways, it seems these days that Metrosexual's are the new in thing. There's an entire episode of South Park dedicated to them, TV shows like Queer Eye for the Straight Guy are killing in ratings, and Howard Dean is even claiming to be a Metrosexual in order to boost his support (yet another reason I'm a proud Republican).

It's becoming more and more obvious that the old "man's man" is becoming cliche. We are bombarded day in and day out with this Metrosexual buzz. And leads to a very important question:

In this day and age, does the typical man stand a chance against the Metrosexual?? Are clubs replacing bars as the guys hangout?? Will DJs like us be phased out for feminine pansys with pedicures??

Discuss.

metrosexual is jsut some new wack ass buzz word.

Alot of my actions and habits could be considered metrosexual, ie im very clean cut, very hygenic etc. But i dont consider myself a "metrosexual"

To tell you the truth, if i could, i would get pedicurs and manicures and spa treatment, but i cant afford it. however once i make it and have some cash, you can bet your ass ill be getting bi weekly haircuts, acupuncture and those stone massages and all that sh1t.

I mean, why the hell not?

I think that the new metrosexuality craze will defeat itself, because the biological nature of women will cut it off once it starts becoming so overly feminine that it stops attracting women at all (I.E. it becomes less Alex Rodriguez or whoever, and more David Beckham)

I shave irregularly, get a haircut once every month and a half or so, but I have good hygiene, NO cavities, shower daily (sometimes twice on heavy workout days) etc. If I had the money to be getting regular pedicures, manicures, spa treatment, haircuts 10 times a month, highlight my hair 4 times a month, whatever, I would instead spend it on clothes that look good on me, more weightlifting equipment/weights to make myself stronger, healthier, and whatnot, the best food I can buy, get a nice car and car accessories (RICE ROCKET :p), buy more books, better guitar and guitar-related equipment and having fun and living well in general.

I notice metros are very good conversationalists. The average guy would have trouble bringing up topics other than football and beer.

Its about expanding your knowledge of things - style, literature, music etc., however, there are some people who take this too far e.g. guys who wear makeup and spend 1 hour in front of the mirror.

I saw a 60minutes story (Australian version) and the self proclaimed metrosexual summed it all with this quote:

"Women want a rough diamond."

Apparently, you have this entire thing backwards. For one, "the average guy", as you tell it, is a dumb stereotype, and you don't need to be a metrosexual to have knowledge of other things. I am closer to looking like a caveman (haha) than a metrosexual, and I can talk literature, politics, religion, music, different philosophies, and oh yeah, sports, you name it. But I don't see the need for getting a haircut a week, shaving every day, getting manicures and pedicures, shaving all my bodyhair (or removing it some other way) or whatever.

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

girls u reject getting pissy at you?

ive noticed a trend with girls ive rejected taht have had mad interest in me.. those who wanted to make a move, ask them out, kiss them etc..

now, of course, the only real reason i wouldnt make a move is because i wasnt attracted to them like that..im totally happy just being friends with them but then!!

they turn around and act all *****y and short with me..the funny thing is, i see through all their rudeness, its fyckd up.

im just curious to know if this is a common phenomennon..girls u have rejected at some point or another getting mad disrespectful towards you.
