I would tend to think that grey hair is generally a bit of a turnoff, especially to younger women < late 20's, but that for women >35, they know that they need to go after older men, and hence really don't have a problem with it. Alot of very young women (18-24) would prefer a man no older than 35, and grey hair would indicate that a man is older than that. Of course, there are going to be some women who go against that general trend and actually like the distinctiveness.
I believe the ages quoted are very accurate. Check out any online dating site and most women 21-30 will choose not to date a man older than 35. This is definitely their preference and grey hair doesn't help. The 35 yo stigma does exist. I think I might pretend to be 35 for as long as I can get away with it if it gets me younger women.

One alternative to dying your hair is to revamp your diet. I went almost 100% organic with my food, water, and hair products. Within 3 months, my hair color became significantly lighter and I have noticeably less visible grey. A little speck here and there looks mature but not old. Try it out for yourself.

I disagree!

While being completely grey may indeed be a turn off here's a story about the salt and pepper look.

I was recently at a BBQ with a mutual friend. There were many 20 something hotties there. One girl I hadn't seen for quite some time made a comment about my own salt and pepper. I responded with a somewhat dissappointed "Yeah I know."

She cut me off right away and said, "Don't be embarrassed about it. Women love the salt and pepper look. Its so hot."

I just kind of scoffed at her with a "Yeah right." So then she went and made a big deal about it. She gathered 6 or 7 of the women there and asked them if they agreed. Every single one of them admitted that they found the salt and pepper look attractive. "There's just something about older guys" one of them said.

I was a little surprised but all in all I think your attitude is more important than a few grey hairs.

You are right about attitude. However, I think there is a reciprocal relationship between the % of grey and how you are perceived by women. Many women think that a little grey is hot until the % of grey gets too high or you have an definitive grey patch like Jay Leno. Not a good look.

Let's use Richard Gere as an example. His leading man roles are very different since he went grey. I know this is superficial shyte, but let's be honest and admit that women have different initial perceptions of you and how that relates to who they want to date due to your amount of grey. These perceptions can be overcome with attitude and game. Another case in point: James Bond never let himself go grey.

Sometime I ago I was talking to this 21 year old. hot, blonde girl about guys looking their age. I was telling her how my friend who is 35 was already starting to develop wrinkles. The tone of my voice put a negative spin on it. She says to me.. "but wrinkles are sexy".

Go figure. A hot 21 year old that could have any guy she wants, thinks that wrinkles on a guy are sexy.

Salt and Pepper

is just fine. It gives a man distinction and character I feel. It just shows to others that you have reached that next level of maturity. When see Salt and Pepper hair, I think George Clooney, Cary Grant, Sean Connery, George Hamilton, all positive male role models.
