Hey guys,

I'm 16, Asian, used to be skinny, now I've put on a considerable amount of muscle on from working out, but am finding it hard to gain more weight.

My metabolism is fvcking insane.

Just recently spent over 200AUD on Creatine and Protein, so i figure it's time to take this seriously and change my diet too.

What are some things that I should eat that has all the right things in them (Cause I have no clue)

And type of things should I be looking at in foods that helps me bulk up, in terms of protein, carbs, fats etc...

Cheers, I need to bulk up for rugby 18s this year, hehe.

Better then having a slow metabolisim like mine.

Although thats probably becasue thats what I have... Do you think its better to be an endomorph (put on fat and muscle easily) or ectomorph (struggles to put on fat and muscle)?

Hey man, how much do you weigh, and how much have you been eating to get to that weight that you're at now?

It's probably a case of both upping your protein and upping your calories in general. You can get lots of extra calories from peanuts (preferably unsalted), olive oil, raw eggs etc.

Weigh around 65kgs.

Been just eating more of everything I can find, good and bad.

Mostly take out, because I have a part time job at a fast food restaurant, but at home, lots of tuna, nuts, protein shakes, a lot of white bread.

Why spend money on protein/creatine when you don't know how to eat properly..

To gain weight, source your protein (about 250g each day) from red meat and whole eggs principally, with chicken/fish/turkey/dairy/etc once a day for variety. Tuna, whey and nuts will not cut it.

Cause I'm a noob with this.

Anyway, cheers.

Anything else? Is there anything else I'm looking at from foods besides protein?

Thing about whey protein isolates and carb powders is that you can absorb a lot of amino acids / fuel very fast. Heavy meals take way longer to digest, but have important roughage and essential nutrients. A mix of both is best for bulking, I've found.

If you're havnig trouble getting enough calories, consider eating peanut butter straight out of the can, it's packed with calories/fat/protein and will help you gain wait.

Also remember to eat red meat, and eat the fat off the meat also.

use olive oil and a lot of it to help bump up your calories.

otherwise, i would rather have a fast metabolism than slow, I think gaining weight is easier than losign weight, because at least eating is fun

Some does, some doesn't. "Natural" peanut butter isn't bad. Smuckers makes some. There are others out there. Basically any jar of peanut butter that doesn't have more than a few things in the ingredients.

The phytoestrogens affecting lifting aren't even as bad as the aflatoxin. And which peanut butters have the most aflatoxin? Organic and natural peanut butters.

Gulp!

If you're the sort of person who worries about aspartame this should be right up your alley too.

Aha,

I haven't got half a clue what you fellas are talking about, I'm only 16 and still a noob at this business.

What should I be looking at in terms of nutrients? I know I need protein, fats (not so much) and my carbs, anything else I should consider?

Anyways cheers for the replies

personally rather be more of an edo, i think losing fat is easy, as opposed to trying to gain muscle/weight as an ecto

^Same, it costs a fortune to eat like us. It is not fun at all, I don't even like food. Every meal has to be planed out in advance.

In hell. I'm Satan's lover.
Really wolf? I love eating. Being ecto sucked when I was skinny but once you put on a lot of muscle it looks really, really good.
