Messed up today

Ok I am a high school senior and I took a high school senior to lunch today. She was an ex of mine but I heard she liked me so I was being pretty confident. We were holding hands and at the end of lunch when we got to school I went in for a kiss because I am retarted and she said she is not like that. I feel like such a doofus. Would I guess right saying she hates me?

I would probably just say that she doesn't want her friends to see her kissing an old ex.. because maybe they'd think shes a slut for getting back with her boyfriend??

If you're holding hands, she doesn't hate you. She propably meant that she doesn't want to rush into things, simple as that. Plus, in school, around her friends, with her ex, kissing? Eh, not every girl wants to be labeled. Especially since her friends know you two are not going out. Yet.

I do not know her personally so I can not make a proper hypothesis, however she seems to be the girl who loves to be loves. An attention *****. She wants you to reciprocate her "love." She wants to KNOW her ex still bears feelings, since the break-up.
