I wrote this a while back for some web site. I could just give u the guide but then u would miss out on my writing stylings
Our true nature goes deeper then our conceptual knowledge.
In this modernity of living the emphasis on illusion has been tremendous. This blind devotion to fantasy is at the heart of the plight of the sufferers. In every way, shape and form Babylon spares nothing in selling illusion as food for self worth. For the sufferers to free themselves from bondage we must come to the realization that ownership won’t bring you higher because true growth comes from within. Our minds are the most powerful tools in our arsenal. It is the window in which we view reality. Our windows have been clouded and our reality is a world of perpetual war and suffering. The first front in the war against Babylon is our minds.
Meditation is an exercise that strengthens the mind, body and soul. Our collective minds have been stamped with the values and perceptions of a system that uses fear to control. In order change bad mindedness that causes fear, anxiety and insecurity we must meditate. Meditation sharpens our focus on the present moment. Rather than worrying about the future or letting the past cast doubts. Only in the present reality can we look upon the beautiful truth.
The right attitude is a must when it comes to meditation. The exercise should be absent of a specific agenda. The mind flows naturally on its own. Desiring to achieve or change something will only cause tension. It’s not a television, forcing it to go blank at a whim won’t be fruitful.
Accepting all thoughts and emotions that enter the mind is crucial. Thoughts and emotion can never be negative only actions can have negative consequences. When children are told that thoughts and emotion can be unnatural, bad or sinful it leads to repression. People reject natural states because they believe it will lead to their own rejection and condemnation and ultimately loss of love. Repression of natural states causes a dilemma in the mind which breads tension.
With simplicity all things can become possible. Babylonian life regards sitting meditation as failure of energy. The system views a fast pace to daily living as positive for production. But if we want to produce greater stability in our lives then bare attention is a key. Simply attending to all that occurs in relation to hearing, thinking, seeing, touching, and so on. An unskilled mind can easily become lost in thoughts. A focused mind knows what it is doing while it is being done and when thoughts enter their acknowledged and softly left to fade. With regular meditation the mind will check uncontrolled thought on its own.
Meditation Guide
Informal rules
1. Quiet place- Finding a quiet place is a plus when relaxing the body and centering the mind. City living which often comes with a lot of noise pollution and fast movement usually increases tension. An oasis away from stressors will help the body and mind rest.
2. Sitting- sitting comfortable so the body won’t have the need to fidget every minute will aid in meditation. Sitting with a straight back will help ensure that deep breaths are taken to help your body relax.
3. Relaxing- breathing is very important aspect when it comes to all things in life. Breathing is the greatest aid when entering and maintaining meditation. Deep breathing can bring the body to a relaxed state very quickly.
Deep breathing exercise: Place one hand on the naval and the other on the center of the chest. Breath in slowly while counting to eight and ensure that the diaphragm (stomach) fills from the bottom. When done correctly the hand over the naval should move out as far as possible while the hand on the chest somewhat stays in position. Pucker your lips allowing limited air out while slowly counting to ten. Practicing the deep breathing exercise 4 to 6 times when starting meditation helps in relaxation.
Sometimes muscles will not completely release a lot of stress that they carry. Tightening major muscle groups and holding for 5 -10 seconds then releasing can help release and lingering stress.
4. Bare attention- Focusing attention on deep breathing is great way to maintain mindfulness. With our internal dialogue saying “IN” and “OUT” as we breathe in and out can act as the anchor for our meditation. When our minds become bored they’ll wander to daily or future events or the past. When this occurs we simply bring our focus back to deep breathing. Using breathing as an anchor when beginning is often found easier then focusing on other senses such as sounds but all senses are just as effective. An example would be using the sounds from passing traffic as your main focus.
5. Be patient when beginning, meditate for 5 minutes then take a break, and come back for 10 minutes next time. Meditating for 30 minutes is a good amount of time for the mind and body to come to a rest. Also it’s said the multiple meditations in a day is more effective then long single ones.
6. Practice mindfulness during the day when completing our daily task.
The ability of our minds is so much greater then our knowledge of them. Meditation can be a very beneficial exercise to those who choose to partake. The medical term for the state produce while meditating is homeostasis. This is where the all the functions in the body are feed the right amount of energy to operate at best. Disequilibrium is where the body misuses energy. In this state the rate of wear and tear, aging in the body is accelerated. Also you’re more susceptible to a wide range of disease and disorders such as high blood pressure giving rise to heart disease, kidney and respirator failure etc etc……etc. When in balance (homeostasis) it is the best state for self healing, physical and mental growth. In a world rampant with fear, worries and doubt mind elevation can be beneficial. Elevating our minds will give us confidence to go about our daily lives adding positive actions to our earth.
