I’ve practiced this on and off and returned recently. I forgot how great it is for clarity of thought. It seems to:

- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Makes me less prejudiced. I don’t mean I start screeching about equality. I mean I observe things more rather than jump to conclusions.
- Makes me kinder with my wife and kids.
- Increases my libido as I’m not strung out on stress.

Recently I’ve incorporated Pilates and breathing, flexibility work. This helps as much with my mind as my body.

I’ve built a solid morning routine:
5- Awake, quick coffee and protein powder
5.20 - Gym, weights or cardio/Pilates about 45-1h
6.15 - 20 mins meditiation. About my best timeframe presently.

6.35 - get ready for work while feeding the mind with motivational or intellectual mind food.

it’s really working well at present.

You mean you do meditation in movement, not in 'zazen' (sitting motionless)?

I meditate mostly in my throne of creativity, a Stokke Gravity Balans chair that can suspend you horizontally.

Or when I train in koryu bujutsu.

Or when I ride my motorcycle.

Love it. Meditating really helps clear your mind, if you put it into practice it’s the one time a day you don’t have to think. You just can be. It’s def made me more introspective, empathetic, and patient.

I have to say that a few edibles or a joint definitely heightens the experience, lol.

What kind of meditation are you doing? Breath, bodyscan, or something else?

I just do walking meditation, I have problems with my feet that walking helps with so it's been a good time sink
