This news is pretty shocking. People are getting arrested for taking pictures of the coast!

http://manticoregroup.com/radio/2010/06jun/jamesfox2010.mp3

There is military presence as well, preventing reporters from doing their jobs

http://waronyou.com/topics/cnn-on-media-blackout-on-oil-spill/

Apparently the spill is 10 times worse than what we've been led to believe, bad enough to take away some of American's basic rights. BP is threatening reporters directly!!

This is a f*cking OUTRAGE people - please spread the word as much as you can. We need to show these media giants that they no longer have the power they once did, and that the people will educate themselves to the truth!

f283000, I am not a proponent of conspiracy theories AT ALL, but:

March 17, 2010
BP CEO Hayward sells 223,288 shares ($2 million worth)
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...yward-sold-shares-weeks-before-oil-spill.html

April 12, 2010
Halliburton pays $232 Million for Oil Spill Company "Boots & Coots"
http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/industries/energy/halliburton-buy-boots--coots/

This Month
SEC investigating shorts placed on TransOcean stocks days before the explosion
http://www.colleenhammond.com/blog/...ts-on-transocean-stock-days-before-explosion/

It's certainly not evidence that would convict anyone, but these facts combined with the government's and media's handling of the situation, should really be pissing more people off.

I really hope you guys spread the word - I'm posting this all over the damn internet. I'm also boycotting BP forever and I hope more people follow suit.

Follow suit?!

Please most people only care about it for so long then get bored...as long as they can go out to starbucks and buy more shoes or go home and watch pron then they are satisfied. It's pretty pathetic.

Yesterday on the news down here....they reported that a part of the beach was closed because they needed to clean up the beach of "Debris."

The ****ing debris were 2 damn oil barrels....

j0n24, sadly I have to agree with you. Most americans do fall into that category and it's really depressing.

OTOH, I have many friends who are also participating in the boycott. Maybe we are a minority but I dont care. Someone has to stand up for whats right godammit

People really need to become aware of just how grave this problem is. Scientists are already saying that we may have damaged things beyond repair, and the floor has fractured in several places, creating yet more leaks

http://beforeitsnews.com/story/76/0...Mexico_Sea_Floor_Fractured_Beyond_Repair.html

Seriously guys - post this up wherever you can - Facebook, forums, whatever. The people deserve to know what the f*ck is going on

I found something from bp insiders, and it is quite disturbing. But before you know the truth, I want to put this situation in perspective from the bible.

Psalm 37
1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

I wasn't really concerned or looking for this information about the gulf, actually I was looking for clips in the movie Patton and just ran into this. After watching this I feel like if you have never prayed before, this is the time to do it. The parts that are in bold I feel are important to apply in our lives right now. And if your not saved please consider God's free gift for you today.

Also, if live in or anywhere near the gulf coast you may want to consider moving...

I live near the gulf maybe an hour or two away from the beach but I dont think I will move. I live in TX and most seem to be going towards Louisiana, but a hurricane can make things 1000x worse....(oil in the rain).

IF this is the end then I wont go out like a pvssy by running away from my home but going to my actual home and having fun out there till we explode or burn or die by carbon dioxide poisoning.

As long as the internet is up I'll report how bad it gets on the semi front lines :D

Sadly, these people need to make a living themselves so they can keep reporting on stories.

Where is the outrage??

This is what the Gulf of Mexico looks like right now. Shots courtesy of the brave reporters at associated press, who risked arrest and jail time to get them

http://www.ap.org/oil_spill/

There is more oil than water in some places! How could such a disaster happen?

Apparently, BP refused to pay for security measures, ignoring the warnings of engineers, months before the explosion because they were simply too cheap, and in a hurry to get that oil!

TOO CHEAP?!

We are talking about the single most profitable sector of our time - a 104,000 billion dollar industry! These guys aren't exactly hurting here!

The only thing I find more outrageous than their greed is the ignorance of the people around me.

Today some guy told me he admired Obama's recent tough stance. He had nothing to say when I told him our president is not only on the BP payroll. he's their highest paid employee!

Had this girl over my place who tried to tell me that the amount of oil was relatively small to the bay, quoting almost word-for-word the steaming pile of bullsh*t whipped up by BP's marketing department. This same naive creature says in response to my boycott - "But if they go bankrupt, who will pay the damages?"

LOL... pay the damages. That's a good one! These guys wont pay for f*cking CEMENT, you think they gonna come outta pocket for the lives and industries they've ruined? Are you f*cking kidding me??

Does ANYBODY pay attention to history nowadays?

Did we not learn anything from the Exxon Valdez incident, where several fishing industries were completely wiped out, leading to one of the worst recessions in their history and an environment that is STILL poisoned with oil? After 20 years, Exxon hasn't paid what it owes - you think it's gonna be any different now?

BP is doing the same thing as we speak, hiring a law firm to reduce or outright waive all penalites brought upon them in court.

Dont know about you lot, but I'm not gonna stand for this garbage. So far 18 people I know have joined the boycott. If you care about any kind of justice or decency in this world, you wont give these assh*les a red cent of your hard-earned cash either!

Oh and I should also mention I am selling my car and taking up cycling again. Maybe that's hardcore and I'm an extremist for doing it, but I don't care. I'm not supporting any of these assh*les anymore and I need to get back in shape anyway.

F*ck these motherf*ckers!

Seriously, there should be hangings for a crime of this magnitude. But just watch these criminals get off with some harsh words from their lackey president and a slap on the wrist.

These motherf*ckers have zero accountability. If you are not hopping mad right now, then watch this video and see how they just blow it all off like its nothing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhK9VgnHWqM

Apparently the reason why the oil industry has not improved its cleanup technology in 50 years is because there haven't been enough oil spills!

I'm not kidding you, this is their actual excuse! I couldn't make this up if I tried!!

If that doesnt turn your stomach, look at how BP gave smaller estimates of the damage to have less liability in court. The sneaky c*cksuckers!

Edit: Here are some more incredible photos taken of the cleanup effort. You wont see these on the 6 o'clock news

We dont need fines or judicial hearings - we need guillotines in public parks!

Watching the news right now and they are talking about Obama's trip in the gulf.

Of course they only show him in Florida at the white sandy beaches. I want to see what's going where it's really bad.

I just feel bad for the wildlife.

We as humans should never let anything interfer with nature wildlife and their habitat.

9/11 and this oil spill should have never happened can you think of the next big surprise just around the corner that shouldn't happen?

Yes, lets throw out rule of law and go back to living in caves slinging feces at each other.

As far as legal proceedings? You have just seen $20 billion on compensation, which will cover short term personal and proprietor financing. You have seen the CEO get 'dismissed'(under what legal authority?). You might see a few of the big boys go under internal investigation, get a slap on the wrist, and maybe even a couple months in prison.

Justice?

In short, BP owns your government, so any justice you get will be served by the taxpayers(us) through higher pump prices and more energy tax. (corporate and industry tax gets passed on to the consumer in 100% of the cases). Nationalizing the oil industry means more workers suckling the public teat and again, higher taxes to pay for their wages and their future mistakes. So yeah, there will be justice; against you, because the citizenry is the great sponge to wipe up corruption and environmental/financial spills.

Business as usual :)

There is a big difference between slinging feces and simply responding in kind.

My point is that right now any American can be arrested, tried and convicted without probable cause, a jury of his peers or any kind of warrant or trial. War has been declared on our liberties and essentially us as a whole. To make matters worse, everytime the sh*t hits the fan, be it economical or ecological, they ask us to bend over more so they can rail us even better than before.

Business as usual indeed!

I say f*ck that and f*ck them! We are 100% justified right now in taking the law back into our own hands and executing some semblance of justice.

Make no mistake - heads should be rolling over this. We are talking about millions of lives at stake, human and otherwise. We are talking about the future of our world at large, the collective destiny of all life on earth - but no one seems to care. At least not as much as they should.

We've seen some pretty natural responses online, and I know a lot of Americans are generally pissed off, but while there are not enough angry mobs out there demanding justice - things will just continue as they always have. People need to start getting pissed off and doing SOMETHING about the situation. By far my favorite protest group at the moment is http://www.seizebp.org/. They will never get what they are asking for but IMHO it is the least that should be done.

If I was king, BP would be liquidated, its assets used to restore all the damage and the people responsible would be publicly executed without a trial, warrant or judge's signature. If a serial killer can get the chair, so should the folks who murder and destroy at such a massive scale.

We like to think we've advanced so much in law and politics, but sometimes a good old-fashioned eye for an eye is the only way to establish balance.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.
