The question of what rep scheme to primarily use is a big question, but the fact is, as long as you're training progressively in a reasonable rep range, you'll get stronger and therefore bigger (if your diet is in check).

There's thousands of ways to train...Even the notion that very low reps don't make you grow is wrong (they will if done in enough volume). Schemes such as 5x3 and 8x2 are used a lot in westside barbell routines and most people do really well on those sorts of routines.

i.e. on a basic 3day split just grab your exercises and just do 3x5-8

For max muscle growth, how many sets and reps should I do?

Was thinking 8x6 or 6x10.

A question like this shows your missing the big picture and have greater problem, which i think is wanting FAST INSTANT results based on the threads you've been posting here. I know your new and i'm willing to help you if you want but i'll need you to change your perspective by reading the idiots guide to growth, A-Units stickied post, and search for Squat for Big Arms and read that as well.
