Has anyone checked this out? I suspect that Deisel and Workerouter are going to flame the hell out of it, but I thought maybe it would be good for discussional purposes. A body like that on just bodyweight excercises? anyway, check it out.

Anything is possible, but from the one "testimonial" i just see it as another person trying to make some money.

I'm sorry but, if the "TESTOMONIAL" guy could bench over 400 pounds and squat around 625 pounds, "hindu pushups and hindu squats" aren't going to do much for the guy. No matter what the "testomonial" says.

People complain how much BS is in the supplemental industry, yet after reading about this, it's just BS.

Herschel Walker, the football star, was known to do thousands of situps per day, thousands of pushups per day, but he was also a genetic freak.

Just like most of us will never become pro bodybuilders, doing the minimal def will not make us look like one.

True, you can do pushups and situps all you want, but WITHOUT DOING any cardio, your not going to lose 20 pounds.

I just find it another BS fitness crazed idea.

It jumps on the fact that "15 minute workouts or less".......

nobody wants to work hard, thats why the US is soo obeses, and so when people see a workout in 15 minutes or less, i'm sure the guy has made millions by now.

I'm certainly not the only person who's tried it...!

A friend of mine let me borrow Combat Conditioning for a few weeks.

It kicked my ass all over the place, yet managed at the same time to rock-hard-a-ma-fy said ass (IE, legs/arms) into pieces of art even DAVID himself would envy! It's seriously at least worth a try.

CC is great if you want an all-out asskicking, but, as with mostly all bodyweight excercises, you're not going to get huge without lifting your fair share of weights.

you're right, i am going to flame this. why? because its another pile of bullsh*t!

b4 you call me out as just another arrogant jackass, im going to point out exactly WHY this is a pile of sh*t. first, read the "10 reason" column aside the page..

"a full body workout is 15 minutes or less."

give me a fukking break. you think that guy in the picture next to the article got that body by doing 15 minutes of bodyweight exercises? of course not. regarding the guy in the photo, he is yet another reason this product is bullsh*t. they use that to lure desperate, ignorant guys into buying the product..in hopes that theyll miracurously develop that physique.

but wait, im not finished degrading this total pile of sh*t just yet...here, take a look at my favorite subpage,

http://www.mattfurey.com/conditioning_book.html

if youre too lazy, or too stupid, heres the first few sentence of his little spiel:

"Dear Friend,

The jury is no longer OUT. The evidence is mounting. And many in the U.S. military have caught on.
Weight training, weight lifting and bodybuilding are NOT what the general public has been told. In addition to the rampant steroid use and unhealthy drive to get HUGE, the sad truth is that even those who engage in these activities may be harming their health - and sometimes permanently.

Don't mean to scare the hell out of you, but the facts are mounting. In the March 13, 2003, edition of the Wall Street Journal, for example, it was shown that pushing yourself to lift heavier and heavier weights increases the risk of aneurysm, stroke, high blood pressure and other problems. Additionally, after I changed my approach to exercise, I discovered how beat up my body really was. I had lived in pain for so long that I didn't even know what being truly healthy and pain-free meant. Now I do and you can, too. "

this is so pathetically wrong and deceiving that i would not even bother listening to anything else this guy is about to spurt out.

but wait, theres more! lets listen to HIS STORY:

"I was the total skeptic. Not only had I lifted weights for years, but after 21 years in the martial arts, I thought I'd seen it all. So I just didn't believe Matt Furey when he said you can get kick-butt fit with bodyweight calisthenics. I could bench 400 and squat 625. So there's no way that I was going to fall for something so "simple."

totally bullsh*t.

now, no doubt that these exercises are useful for an individual...i totally think its a great thing, and actually, if i had the money, i wouldnt mind getting the book so i would learn more calistenic exercises...HOWEVER, the problem lies in all the false crap this guy is stating to sell his product.

The purpose of that course is NOT to bulk up or get ripped. Nor does it claim to be. If that were the case, then yeah, it would be bull.

What it IS about is getting stronger. Gaining functional strength. And for that, it does everything it says it does.

If you want to get big and look "good", then go lift weights. If you want to become strong throughout your entire frame and flexible as well, get into combat conditioning.

We were using some of the exercises shown in CC when I used to wrestle. And that was years before this book was even published. The exercises will get you stronger and get you in a type of shape that lifting weights wont give you. Even before I have a fight, I use bodyweight exercises a few months in advance to get ready. So if youre trying to get beach muscles, lift weights, but if youre trying to gain strength, speed, and flexibility, then do bodyweight exercises.

Seems like the best thing to do would be to do HIIT, and then rotate weightlifting, and CC. You would be a beast.

I personally feel that there should be a balance. I hit the weights, but I also hit the push ups, dips, and chin ups with lots of stretching etc. I'm sure his workout would be great but he charges way too much loot.

OK here's the deal on Mr Furey.

Did he originally build his size (the muscle, not the beer gut) with HS and HP. I think you'll find he used weights.

Is it good for all round conditioning for fighting? Yes

Is there something unique and magical about his stuff? NO

Is it worth the money? Hell no.

Whats the best ebook for combat conditiong? The Ultimate warrior guide.

How do I find out myself for free? Download Bearshare and access all MF stuff via P2P. If you think it's worth it you can send him a cheque.

Okay, so if you want bodyweight conditioning...

**********************************************************THERE ARE FAR BETTER ONES THAN THAT! AND CHEAPER!!!!!!!**************

Has some great guides on general conditioning... We all know that boxers need function over form, so if that's what you are after, go for one of those guides!

Dragondoor.com

Get some of the stuff by Pavel Tsatsouline... Now alot of people dont like his style, or the fact that the last 10 pages of every book he has advertisements for his other material plastered all over it.

BUT: "Naked warrior", "Power to the people" and his "Relax into stretch" books are superb for the information they provide you with!

Most of these are available on p2p networks anyway, take your time, get them, read them, assimilate them... And save yourself a boatload of cash!
