Making money on Black Friday

Since I really don't have anything to this holiday weekend, but would love some extra cash, I'm thinking of camping out this Thursday night at Best Buy in order to buy a good deal of hugely-on-sale goods, in order to resell them on Ebay.

Anyone tried this before? Any opinions?

It has all the best deals you'll find on Black Friday. Yeah...check out the site and try to find the absolute cheapest/free stuff. You can make some quick cash, sure. I've done it. Although, not everything you buy will make you profit on eBay because stuff on eBay is already usually dirt cheap. Try to check out eBay before-hand to get a feel for what would sell good.

For example...I just checked out the site...and Gamestop will be selling GTA3 (PS2) for $2.99. It's selling on average at $4-$5 on eBay plus shipping. That's not a very good margin, unless you buy like 200 of them.

BUT, Grey's Anatomy Season 1 DVD will sell for $8.99 at Circuit City, and the average sale price on eBay is $17-$20. You buy a couple of those and make at least a couple bucks on each, not to mention profit on shipping as well.

Here's another I just found...19" Proview Widescreen will sell for $129 at Circuit City...and they've sold for up to $200 on eBay, plus shipping. That's over $50 profit a pop.

I've reached PowerSeller status on eBay strictly from buying and reselling - and can say that if you have the money to make some large purchases on Black Friday, it will definitely be worth your while. If you only plan on getting 1 or two things, don't even bother going... unless a $40 total profit justifies your going out there in the first place.

I too have gotten the ebay bug in recent weeks. I don't have a lot of extra cash at the moment to go out and make a bunch of purchases on Friday so I wouldn't even mind settling for an extra $40.

So tell me, if you could buy only one or two items and wanted to make a profit, what would you recommend buying?

How about if I could scround up a C-note or two, what would be some good purchases?

I ask you as one ebayer two another, what do you think will have demand and will make me some quick cash considering I'm short on funds?

^ Amazon.com just sold 1000 Xbox 360 consoles for $100 a pop. My damn Internet connection was too slow to get in on it.
