Im 17 and a junior in HS. I was homeschooled all the way up to 8th grade, so I never had any friends (literally, I didnt even know more than 5 kids my age) during those years.

Welcome to 8th and 9th grade at public school. Coming from homeschooling, I lacked the "street smarts" that most kids had from being in public school. As you might expect, I got picked on alot, got beat up once, and basically hated those two years of my life.

After I finished up my 9th grade year, my family moved, and I was put in a different school. This was like a new opportunity for me. I was alot smarter then. I got my first-ever date that year, and then went out with a second girl as well. I was not real popular, but at least I wasnt a dumb@ss like in my 8th and 9th grade years. I made a few friends, and kept my nose clean.

But I never really had freinds who I did stuff with. Yeah, I talked to kids, but I never hung out or got invited to parties or anything. And I was never popular. I guess some of the reason behind this was because I was sheltered without hardly any friends for so long in homeschool.

So how do you make friends who you can hang out with and do stuff with, who get you invited to partys, etc.?

And how do you become popular among people, not only in HS, but also at your work, and at college?

I think if I could become popular and have alot of friends, that would help me out with girls too cause Id be invited to more parties, meet girls through my frinds, etc.

Believe it or not I kind of had the same thing. Oh I was never homeschooled except that my family was totally uncool and passed these traits onto me. Somehow my sister escaped this punishment but I didn't. So I was very possibly the most unpopular kid you could know. lol. I have since then wised up. If inviting people to your house to smoke pot isn't the best idea and throwing your own shindigs is also out of the question, I agree that you should join clubs but I also joined a clique. lol. Yep I was in the band clique and I was in the computer clique. You tell me I couldn't of picked nerdier cliques. Well any clique is better then none and I made great friends but still didn't really get invited to people's house because I was seen as a loner. lol. I would go from group to group and never really stuck with one but just as people start inviting me to there houses I decide to move proving my status as a loner. lol. I will do better at my school and now that I am the most DJ person I know I will score with every chick I see. Having a ride really helps and my old parents were ****heads so I never really went over to peoples houses. lol. you will think of something fun.

Making friends come naturally... It's no use going around asking people to be friends with you..they will think your weird and a loser...Trust me...Just let these things happen naturally
