Making a social circle in college

Do the veterans have any tips on how to get an awesome circle going pretty quickly? I've made friends on the first day, but nobody seemed to be feeling the mixer we were at...I don't want that again lol. I look to have fun above all else.

Lol yeah, my roommates are pretty cool, through them I've already met a fun group of guys who know what's going down. I'm not really worried hooking up with girls at parties now, because I know when they're going down. Cold approaches are a slightly different deal, so I'm still refining that aspect of my game.
