what do people think about eating low fat slices of cheese for a source of protein. I can get slices with about 5.6 grams of protein per slice, which is almost as much as an egg but I can eat more cheese than i can eggs!

What do u think ?

i really need to be eating more protein. tuna and eggs just isnt cutting it for me.

Low fat sliced cheese is good, but it usually has incredibly high sodium content.

Try low sodium cottage cheese or quark instead.

Red meat?

I don't know how far you are going to get on cheese slices as that sounds rather disgusting. It takes 60 slices of cheese to make 300 grams of protein...thats just nasty.

Cottage cheese isn't all that great when your trying to shed pounds..not sure what your doing though.

Dietary fats aren't bad for you; if you're eating cheese slices why not eat the ones with regular amounts of fat?

But yeah, there are better sources of protein than cheese. If you want to gain weight you'll need lots of protein and you'll get sick of cheese pretty fast if you're eating it as a meal, lol.

He didn't specify if it was low fat cottage cheese

If you eat 300 grams of protein of cottage cheese you get 160 carbs. If your not senstive at carbs it would be fine. Otherwise it's not a good choice for weight loss

Variety.

Make a tuna burger, fry it in a skillet a little bit. Add some tomatoes, onions, lettuce, mayo. Put it on a whole wheat bun (less ingredients are better) and add a slice of cheese.

Or you can eat slices of cheese and think its food. Whatever works.

What is wrong with sodium again?

Because people already with heart conditions and high blood pressure need to regulate it? I don't think a 20 year old needs to give a damn.
