Lost A Girls Number But Found Her Profile.. Need Advice

Ok so this Friday I ran into a girl who I used to work with 9 years back. I had no idea till she mentioned she knew me from somewhere.

Anyways, shes now 28 and I am 26 and we both had our groups together at the same lounge this Friday. I ended up talking to her for a good portion of the night, eventually me and my buddies took off and I grabbed her number.

The problem was I was well into my drinking by then and ****ed up saving her number into my phone. I woke up the next morning realized I didn't actually save it (smooth, I know).

She briefly talked about where she worked so I just typed in the place she works and her name and found her linkedin profile (not facebook).

I guess my only way to get in touch now is to send her a message over linkedin which is a network for professionals so it's not exactly facebook or anything.

I was thinking I would just be honest and say I didn't save her number but figured I would try and get some advice here in case there is a better way.

I wouldn't mind grabbing a coffee with this chick to at least see if there is any potential but not sure the best way to approach my little dilemma. I mean I know that sending her a message on there is the only way but I guess I am not entirely sure how to go about it or how long I should wait. I am not one for game playing but this is kind of a unique situation.

Any advice is appreciated.

Sadly, I think this situation is almost paradoxical in the sense that if you don't message her, then you'll never meet her, yet if you do message her, you'll seem weird for (in her eyes) stalking her. Sounds like you need to just forget about her and get more numbers. Who knows, you'll probably meet her again (life is funny like that).

If you contact her on that site you going to come off as a stalker or desperate, just charge it to the game

Or like teakroy said show up at her job, like three or ,four days from now and tell her you was so drunk you didn put the number in the phone properly

I disagree with the others, I think you should just contact her by LinkedIn and get her number there. Something like "hey my dog ate your number, send it to me again!"

Best/worst case scenarios if you contact her: You two live happily ever after/you don't get her number.

Best/worst case scenarios if you don't contact her: You don't get her number/you don't get her number.

I think it's obvious that you have to contact her through LinkedIn. Who cares if she thinks it's stalkerish? What's the worse that can happen? She doesn't contact you? That's your status right now.
