Okay so I've been working out hard the past four months, put on a decent amount of muscle but what's plaguing me is my body fat.

It's weird. My body stores fat in my ass and the backs of my thighs. I'm a guy but I never really get a fat stomach.

It's annoyed me for a large part of my life and i'm about to get rid to it. I still plan on doing exercises like pushups, upside down vertical pushups, and working on abs and lower back in the gym, but from here on till I can get it gone, it's all cardio.

What should I be eating? Can I continue to take two scoops of whey protein a day to keep up the muscle? What kind of cardio should I be running? Please help.

Well unfortunately there is no special kind of exercise we can do to get rid of weight at targeted areas in our body.

We can only do cardio and the body will get rid of it where it wants to first and where you want it to get rid of it later.

Thats just how it is.

The most optimal type of cardio you can do to make the fat loss quicker is High Intensity Interval Training also known as HIIT.

Steady state cardio can still be done as well though on off days where you don't do HIIT.

HIIT I believe is something only someone fully conditioned to exercise is supposed to do and something someone is only supposed to do about three times per week.

You can google it and find the exact way you are supposed to go about performing it.

there is a diet ive been looking into which is aimed at reducing fat from stubborn areas and theres quite a science involved in it its called UD2 (ultimate diet 2) written by lyle mcdonald go buy it as i strongly think he deserves the money but for u cheapskates out there here it is but u gotta read the whole thing

http://members.tripod.com/ns_powerlifting/UD2.pdf

he has a forum dedicated to his work aswell with alot of active users who can all give feedback if your doubting what im saying

http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/forums

the low down on this diet is for the first 3 days you eat 50% of maintenance calories with no more then 60g carbs a day
those 3 days yu do depletion workouts (15 rep sets and you do aobut 8 SETS!) to deplete all muscle glycogen then you have a carbup day typically eating about 1000g(1kg) of carbs which are partitioned to muscle storage instead of fat stores then the next day you do a massive powerworkout (low reps) there is a hell of a lot more science out of it and i have only very ROUGHLY explained it ive been doing it for 3 weeks now with slow but steady gains on the weights and a solid 0.7kg of fat every week i like it because its the only diet i know where i can pig out on my beloved carbs

Low carb dieting would help you lose fat rapidly.

but it would also probably take away more muscle then your willing to give up to achieve your goals.

How is your diet? What you eat and how much you're eating account for a lot more than when and how long you work out for. If you have a problem with losing fat, the odds are good that it's not a result of your working out - it's the stuff you're putting into your body.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Do not take your own advice and do cardio only, you will more than likely regret it and also have wasted plenty of muscle building opportunity. (Yes muscle building and fat loss at the same time are possible).

Next time to a search and good luck,

Quagmire

Ps-Here are the links you need:

Train like this: http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=125444

Combine these two for diet:

And make a log, voila.
