I'm currently debating dropping out of college and joining the Navy as a linguist (Arabic and or Hebrew). I'm looking to travel, make money, and find something to do until I get my life straight. Right now I feel like I'm just in college because it's the next "logical" step after highschool and I'm not motivated to go to class.
I've narrowed my searches down to Navy, Airforce, and perhaps Coast Guard. I have a special interest in the Navy with all of their traveling, port stopping, etc. If you could tell me about what you enjoyed/disliked about the service, general day to day life (is it like a daily 8 hour job, or is it a constant all day job), and any other information you'd find useful.
I'm going to a recruiter on Monday to talk about it more but I'd like to hear an opinion that has no motivation behind it.
DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING IN COLLEGE AND DOING ROTC
