Long periods of absense?

Right before I left home for college, I went on a date with this girl who is staying in the same city for school. The date went well (not THAT well ) but she is definitely into me.

Anyway, that was about 3 weeks ago. I won't be back home until December, so my question is:

Should I call her at all? Obviously, it would have to be just to talk, since I can't set anything up with 350 miles in between us. She doesn't get texts on her phone, she doesn't have facebook, I don't have her email address, anything! I don't really like doing the whole phone thing, but is it better than having no contact at all?

I never said I'm clinging to this girl. I didn't even think about her until a couple of minutes before I posted that. It's not a big deal, I'm just wondering which would be better.
