Mark this as a lesson well learned. Trust. Your. MFing. Gut.

Despite all that I learned from this forum, my friends, family, and countless YouTube videos, I ignored everything and paid dearly.

Like coach Corey Wayne says:
"You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality."

I let my ex back in my life. We spent 3 amazing days together basically eating, sleeping, and f*cking each other's brains out. Now she's on a plane to Ireland with a different guy hahaha. It's hysterical.

There was a poster a while back that told me to ignore her otherwise she's going to cause more damage, wish I would've listened to him. Anyways, moving forward. NC day 1 starts now.

I'd rather be in your shoes than his; you have benefit of experience knowing what she's actually like. He is clearly none the wiser.

Something to bear in mind for future; break ups usually happen for a reason. Men need to be rational and realistic about the success of reconciliation, long term. Because rationalism and realism are two things that not all women engage with too often.

Long and short, reconciliation doesn't usually last, medium to longer term. There may be a resurrection of the honeymoon phase, the likes of which you found. But the question always to ask is whether or not this person has actually changed, observe them subtly but very closely, and indeed, trust your instincts. Not only your instincts, but you should have reflected on the original break up in order to know how things went wrong from an objective point of view.

Chances are they probably haven't changed a whole lot, unless you haven't seen them for a decade. Thus, expecting much more than a fling for old times sake is (usually) a naive outlook to take.

The same thing happens with my ex . She'll message every month or two, asking how I am and blablabla, but still doesn't really initiate meeting up. I'm not asking her anymore because she was too unreliable before. Thus I know she hasn't changed (at least her view of me), as she isn't willing to solidly commit to anything more than few lines of text. Thus, that's what she gets in return.

As such, seems like it was your expectations that betrayed you, opposed to anything your ex did or said.

So what... you got to fvck her again, now another dude has his turn. Only this poor fvcking guy is paying for a trip to Ireland. She only hurts you if you catch feelings... just don't let that happen.

But you are right about trusting your gut... TRUST IT. My gut is smarter than my brain.... and infinitely smarter than my emotions.

Be happy things didn't work out a second time. Think about it, you date, you marry her, and THEN she pulls this s*hit which women have been known to do. Then she sucks your $$$$ dry and you have to pay alimony only now it's called "maintenance." This chick sounds like bad news and is probably within the BPD spectrum. Women with healthy personalities, and they are out there, DON'T do this s*hit.

Look for the red flags.

Yes, trust your GUT and go 100% NC---forever.

Good luck.

So what, are you saying you wouldn't have taken 3 days of debauchery if you knew this was going to happen?

Ex's are only good for being FWBs with until they move on...

I wanted to give an update to this because I'm starting to struggle with NC and could use ya'lls help.

The day I posted this I had talked to her on the phone, which was the same day I found out she was going on the trip. She told me she was glad I called, and she would text me when she landed. I never responded. She texts me the next day a video of her, never responded. She then texted me saying she was thinking of me, and to tell her if I regretted calling her. She then called me and left me a voicemail saying it was rude that I was ignoring her because "we made a lot of progress" the other day. Never responded. The last text I received was a link to a song of ours. Still haven't responded.

"Now she's on a plane to Ireland with a different guy hahaha."

This is all you have to remember. Of course she's going to say it's rude to 'ignore her'. She's working on two guys at once - you and that chump.

In my opinion, she's thinking that it's acceptable to draw on two guys at once. Most people are not good with accepting to be the receiver of that situation. Maybe some guys wouldn't care. Personally I could not accept being part of that. It's kind of ****ed what she's doing with you. "Hey, I'm over here banging some guy, but why are you not responding to my sweet videos and attempts to instigate closeness between us?". It's a mind **** imo.

I guess I'll add for clarity on the situation... what was the info on her going to Ireland? What's the deal with the guy, and why is she going over with him? (It does sound bad but thought I'd ask)

He's an ex co worker of hers. Never met him before, she only brought his name up maybe twice in our year long relationship. She had mentioned she was planning a trip to Ireland during our 3 day stint together, but deceivingly told me it was with one of her (girl)friends.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

If you have to respond, one word answers.

She had mentioned she was planning a trip to Ireland during our 3 day stint together, but deceivingly told me it was with one of her (girl)friends.

If she deceivingly told you this, everything else she tells you is likely not the truth.

Girls can insult, yell, put down, be a slut, it's OK. If they CHANGE THEIR STORY, THEN you have to be very careful.

My guts are full of sh!t, and make growling noises when hungry. But, some people make me sick to my stomach. Wait till the nausea hits you before making a so-called 'gut' decision.
