Your basing your life and your values on others.
You're comparing yourself to others, and feel you should have what THEY have.
But you dont have what YOU should have.
What if you focus on having what YOU should have? Not what others have. Or what you THINK they may have.

What's wrong is that you're sitting on facebook and lamenting your lot in life.

Don't have a great job? Start figuring out what it is you want to do and work on a plan to get there (more school, networking with people who can help you get a better job, etc.)

Don't have a relationship? Get out there and start meeting new people.

Everyone feels moment of self-pity -- the key is to stop pitying yourself and start working to BETTER yourself.

I'm actually not typing this to be mean, but more to make you think: what have you done to deserve the life you want?

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

Yeah, I started to have a moment like that over at my friend's house. She pulled me right out of it and then later that night I had met up with a pretty good looking brunette. After the date/makeout session I asked the question "What the hell do I have to be pitying myself with"

Actually the OTHER part of #41's post was the part that you should have quoted. Facebook has nothing to do with anything.

Get off of Facebook now. You are only looking at 1% of people's lives, which are the party pictures and the like--them at their most presentable and desirable for social status.

Facebook should be used as an electronic Rolodex to stay in touch with your friends, not as a hobby to itself. Not only will it give you the wrong ideas, but it's a colossal waste of time. I used to get in that trap a bit in college when I thought that I had nothing better to do, so to snap out of it, I made a rule for myself. I'd check Facebook once in the morning, and once before bed. If it's important, people can call me.

So true. I heard a quote somewhere. "The only happy people are people I don't know." Everybody can craft their facebook page to make themselves look so happy and accomplished. You have no idea what's going on in their real lives. Nobody is going to update their status and say, "my fvcking wife is nagging the sh1t out of me again over who is going to dropping the kids of at day care." or "why doesn't this baby stop screaming at 4am, I'm tired of going to work without sleep!" That's the kind of stuff that goes on daily that you don't hear about. Who cares what you see on facebook.

I need to do the same.

I go on facebook once every 3 days at the most, just so I don't feel like you do right now. It happens to all of us.

Now, figure out what you want and use this site to make it happen.

Don't compare yourself to others. In our country, there goes that'' Comparing to others, you just get angry."
So just cherish what you have.maybe someone others envy what you have.
