Let the party begin...

I just moved into a new townhouse that is in a small development with only 28 or so units. This is going to be the sweetest place to live in town. Walking distance to all the bars and clubs downtown, each unit is three stories and most have a deck and jacuzzi on the roof. I call mine the "pimp palace" lol! I'm in the process of painting and decking it out. This place is going to be unbelieveable when I get finished.

Last night I went to a party that one of my neighbors was having, so I got to meet several of my other neighbors. They are all super cool people, professionals, all around my age, and they all like to party. They are trying to organize a little block party thing. Jeezus, if we do this we will have half of the city partying in our complex!

Let the good times roll.....

yeah well get this, i got my own room and its right next to my moms room. let the good times roll!

No pics....I might, repeat MIGHT post some when I get a little closer to being finished.

Str8Up: Do you own this development or are you just renting? I'm actively starting to invest now, within the next month or two I'm hoping to get my first building.

I am renting the unit currently, but I have a purchase contract to buy it that is set to close in January. At that time I will "officially" own the unit, although the guy who sold it to me lives in CA and has never even seen the unit, so I am basically doing whatever I want to it.

Good deal...you are ready to jump into the game, that's great! Keep in mind that it takes time. You likely won't get a payoff for awhile, but when it comes it's SWEET. I can't imagine my life being any other way....I sleep late, make a few phone calls and whatnot and usually have the rest of the day to myself. For the most part all of my weekends and holidays are free, I can vacation whenever I want, it really is a great way to live. Congrats, you are on the right path.

I will try to post pics when I get it closer to being finished. Should be good inspiration for anyone who wants to choose this path.
