Since coming across the knowledge, that eating carbs 5-7 hours before bed was bad, ive tried my best to obey this rule. I am finding it very difficult. Traditionally ive always eaten a bowl of cereal , and toast before bed, to curb my hunger through the night. Now that i know protein before bed is good, im trying to incorporate that. Something about a protein shake before bed, leaves my stomach not feeling good when im trying to sleep. Can somebody please suggest some appropriate, tasty snacks that work before bed?(other than protein shake)

Protein isn't bad before bed but carbs are.

Eggs, egg whites, peanuts(I eat 2oz.),chicken breast, ground turkey, basically food really low in carbs.Heck if you wanted you could just eat lettuce. I know alot of people do it,but I would steer clear of milk before bed because it's actually full of sugar.

Cut of carbs 7 hours before bed? Admittedly I'm a noob, but that sounds excessive...

What about a protein shake with a scoop of whey, a few eggs, peanut butter, and a little milk? Would that be OK?

Thats what i was implying...carbs bad, protein good, no idea why you quoted that and wrote the exact same thing

Also all those things u mentioned like chicken, turkey, seem really heavy before bed

to Kerpal: did you not read the first post when i was asking for suggestion other than protein shake?

If you wake up in the middle of the night and are hungry, just have a scoop of protein (mixed with water). It'll axe the hunger. Carbs seven hours before bed isn't excessive depending on the person IMO. Personally on some days, the last time I consume carbs is the early PM.
