In the last week I've seen and read about 3 articles on MSN.com about how to tell if the man is ready to settle down or if the man is marriage material and such. Obviously written to women and read by men.

"Bad sign #1: He lives with three other guys in an apartment filled with milk crates, cinder blocks and a Kegerator.
On the flipside: If he’s got his own condo, dresses well and cooks anything beyond grilled cheese, he just might be ready.

Bad sign #4: He makes fun of married people and thinks of weddings as a “free booze” event.
On the flipside: If he’s thought about who his groomsmen are going to be and doesn’t mind hanging out regularly with married couples, he’s getting ready to make the leap himself.

Bad sign #5: He says thing like, “Dude I haven’t been to Vegas in soooo long… like three months.”
On the flipside: If he can enjoy talking about his past trips to Amsterdam, his journey through Southeast Asia or his post-college job as a jet-ski instructor, he’s probably got his “must-do list” of items checked off."

Is this a joke? This is really pathetic. I remember I used to think that way after reading such crap. Before I knew any better and before I had a voice of reasoning.
RolloTomasi talks alot about society and how it conditions its people to behave a certain way and to follow certain things without question.
I am just glad I can see past this BS and decide for myself.

Heck ya, without the community to provide us with a major masculine path and the DJbible we be doomed to our AFC ways. The media portrays a bad image of man and tries so hard to paint us in a feminine light. Arg!

Those articles are nothing short of what is littered in every grocery store packed with terrible chick crack magazines providing horoscopes, personality surveys, etc. I think we should open a girl at grocery store and ask her if she truly buys into all the garbage they write in print.

If you want more amusement check out the books: The Rules 1 & The Rules 2. Supposively millions of women who've bought these books learn how hook a man and keep him submissive.

Kinda related, but I try to stay away from Askmen.com, it seems like AFC advice.

I bet that MSN article was written by a woman. I know, it's sexist but c'mon, it's ********...

But none the less whomever wrote the article is a typical media reporter, they write for the masses. They want to write something that grabs the attention of the typical woman by appealing to her assumptions and any beliefs she already have about men, be it true or not.

I woman worth being had WILL BE HAD by a guy who recognizes and wants whatever she's selling (no not that). It wouldn't matter where he lived or with whom nor things he had said in the past.

What I find insulting is the uniformity that crap like this is written with. It makes the extreme the norm. Men are all irresponsible beer swilling ex-frat boys with such regularity that even one who can cook (a traditionally feminine characteristic) is a jewel in the rough. Articles like this normalize the masculine as something to be ridiculed while simultaneously putting women in the position as the PRIZE. It plays to their frame. Essentially it's statement is "if only men could be more like women" (i.e. gender identification) then we could finally make some progress.

The saddest part is that today, most men would only too readily allow women to change their personalities to identify with them - well before they even have an actual woman in their life! I would say the 'Kegerator Male' is far less common than the passive, pre-whipped, pre-identification men that seem to be the target demographic for this article.

I must say, this one is right. I have learned firsthand that many people have a list of **** they "have to do", and absolutely cant settle down before they finish it. So im agreeing with that one.
