I've always lifted on and off so I have a basic idea of what my arms are supposed to feel like the day after a workout. I did bi's yesterday and thought it was a pretty good workout, got a great arm pump, worked the muscle to exhaustion, etc, but today I don't feel anything. No soreness or pain or anything. It used to feel like I wouldn't be able to bend my arm for a day or two. I've been upping my protein, and taking creatine/glutamine pills, but I don't think that would change much. Did I do something wrong?

Adding weight to the bar and keeping good form is what you need to worry about.

Post your workout up.

Stop worrying about soreness (which i'll say again is not a good indicator of a good workout) and focus on whether or not you have been making size/strength gains.

After a while, you muscles will get in better shape, and even though you will make gains you wont feel much soreness, I have made huge gains after working out straight for 6 or 7 months, and I didnt feel sore at all, it just happens.

Equating soreness to a good workout is no good.

Are you adding weight, doing more reps between workouts, that's your best indicator from workout to workout and will lead to big arms.

Soreness = Protein degridation.

When you're in better shape, not as many fibres tear themselves down, allowing for faster recovery times, and less feelin' sore.

Just because your muscles dont completely break down though doesn't mean that they can't grow.

Think about it, would you rather build a wall, nock it down and build it higher.... Or just add bricks to the wall you've already made?
