I've personally never seen a defeat this embarrassing before. You're heavily favoured to win the fight, and you lose...in the first round...in 14 seconds!!! I always though Kimbo Slice was very overrated; he's a boxer, he can't do sh1t when he's being wrestled on the ground. Still, 14 seconds against a punk with pink hair, it probably pissed him off even more that he was celebrating like an AFC getting his first kiss.

I'm glad he got knocked the f*ck out. He was acting like a douchebag before the fight, refusing to touch gloves in a bad attempt at intimidation.

Its about time he fought somebody not 10 years past their prime. Shamrock was a sure win for him, and Petruzelli(sp?) barely had a chance either,he's pretty bad, but was able to land a lucky shot.

CBS and EliteXC are now scratching their heads and thinking how they can continue to milk this Kimbo cash cow.

And people need to get off his d1ck, put him in with Fedor or Orlovski and the fight will be over even quicker than 14 secs. Even that slob Sylvia will mop the floor with him.

It makes you question if he really ever was that great of a street fighter. Maybe his opponents on all those videos he became famous for were bad fighters. The last MMA fight of his I saw (where he opened up that guy's ear) he looked like he lost the fight. Then he just gets knocked out right away, getting beat at his own game.

I think Kimbo had bigger balls then alot of the fighters.

He took this fight with Petruzelli after Ken Shamrock (annoying fu*ker who needs to retire) cancelled due to a cut or some excuse before the fight. Kimbo didn't know a thing about Petruzelli and most fighters would have cancelled instead of going ahead and fighting but he definitelly got nailed pretty good. We will see if he learned a lesson on the fight or what he does next.

Speaking of Fedor I honestly believe the only way he will get beat is his age will catch up with him and then it won't count as much.

While I was watching Kimbo I was also watching the rerun of Rampage and Forrest on the UFC over on Spike TV I can do that since am talented :D After watching that fight no doubt Forrest beat Rampage by kickin' the sh*t out of his legs.

Anyway there was a thread started on MMA fights this should be sliced into it no pun intended.

What really got me was when kimbo was acting all hard and didnt want to hit gloves with his opponent right before the bell rang. The guy he fought was also weighed in as a light heaveyweight. I still give kimbo props because any fighter that gets in the ring deserves some kind of respect win or lose.

Thought i would post the payday for those that are interested in that sort of stuff.

Kimbo Slice: $500,000
Seth Petruzelli: $50,000 (including a $15,000 win bonus)
Jake Shields: $50,000 (including $10,000 win bonus)
Paul Daley: $12,000
Andrei Arlvoski: $500,000
Roy Nelson: $80,000
Gina Carano: $25,000 (including $10,000 win bonus)
Kelly Kobald: $6,000
Benji Radach: $30,000 (including $15,000 win bonus)
“Ninja” Rua: $35,000

It was the sports commission who didn't let Ken fight because of that cut. And CBS abd EliteXC would have taken a big loss if there was no Kimbo fight, especially after all the hype.

So in a way, Kimbo didn't have a choice but to take the fight, no matter who they put in. He's not going to piss off the execs who made him what he is.

The end result was pretty damn bad for EliteXC either way.

Kimbo made half a mil on that lousy 14 sec fight?!?! Am I reading this right??? That would be the equivalent of $120,000,000/hr. Not bad for a criminal record backyard brawler that came out of nowhere.

he made a rookie mistake. I don't think Kimbo's that great a fighter but I think he's better than that

worst upset I ever seen was Cro Cop getting knocked the fvck out by Gonzaga. that was 10x more embarassing than this

I totally agree. The expectations for Cro Cop were so high in the UFC and he simply never delivered.

I think Kimbo should rematch. He's shown in his past fight with Sean Gannon that he can take some blows and keep ticking. He just had a bad night.

This was not that big of an upset. Kimbo was protected fighter with Elitexc. Look at Kimbos opponents..

Ray mercer was a boxer that was way over the hill and didn't know a thing about mma.

Tank abbott who was over 40 and way past his prime. That tank abbott that kimbo knocked out couldn't win UFC1 in 1993.

Thompson who was 2-7 in his last 9 fights I believe. They stopped that fight early. He looked terrible.

They than matched him up with 44 year old shamrock who shouldn't even be fighting. Kimbo is so bad I thought shamrock may had a chance to beat him. That is how much kimbo sucks.

When they said seth petruzilli was stepping in I said this is a much tougher fight than shamrock. I remember seth from ultimate fighter 2.

Kimbo is a fvcking joke. He is what butterbean was too boxing. Take any guy from the UFC and they would destroy kimbo. He doesn't have a fighters grappling skills and his conditioning is of someone walking down the street.

Kimbo will probably have 2 more fights.. One with shamrock and than he will be out of the fight game. Its a good thing being he made a few million and he doesn't have much talent with the exception of heavy hands.

Oddly, Butterbean isn't a boxer now, but a Mixed Martial Artist. He's pretty good, too. He only fights other super heavy weights (guys who weight about 350), and beats them.

I think everyone needs to get off Kimbo's back. The guy is just trying to make a living. It's not like he's out there saying what huge fvcking balls he has, running his mouth like the Shamrock family.

Anyone who knows the nuts and bolts of MMA can see that Kimbo, at this point, is a purely one dimensional fighter that was selected for his marketability. The guy does have natural ability, he just isnt a hybrid athlete like a professional fighter should be. His cardio is horrendous--he weighs a lean 235--so anyone with that much metabolic tissue is going to have some struggles with cardio. Great boxer, but he might be too old to gain a foothold in professional MMA.

My prediction is that he will fight 2-3 more times, mostly exhibition-type fights against journeymen or washed-up has-beens, then get swooped up by the WWE or some other pro-wrestling outfit who will pay him handsomely for his notoriety.

And on the note of Shamrock---what a fvcking disgrace he has become. I actually dont dislike the guy, but he is all heart and no head. His legacy has been tarnished, permanently, because he cant see the foreest for the trees in his career and toss in the towel. He lost 8 out of his last 10 fights!! Most of them by TKO, and none of them without gratuitous trashing of the other fighter for months beforehand.

Ken--you have left your mark on the sport. No one is going to forget your contributions in MMA's fledgling days; but you need to retire and save what dignity you have left. Let your blowhard brother make an as$ out of himself with his mouth.

Kimbo will be laughing to the bank anyway despite what people say about him. The guy is going to walk away from this a millionaire when a couple years ago he was beating up fat dudes in backyards. There's a million guys out there that could've did what kimbo did and much better, he just got his lucky break thanks to youtube. If he's not stupid with his money, he will now have a comfortable life. Can't hate on Kimbo, he did what he had to do. Like he said, "that's how a nigga eat."

Good post Colossus I couldn't agree more.

Though I like when I see middle age fighters do good in any sport since I am in that age group.. Shamrock on the other hand has become a freakin' joke and needs to retire and be a good sport and help out the younger fighters coming up not by fighting them like some creepy dude going through a mid life crisis trying to prove he some how still has it  it's crazy.

To those who mentioned Butterbean. Hulk Hogan has a new show I believe is to start on CMT the 18th of this month and if am not mistaken Butterbeans name was mention..The show has something to do with wrestling.

Thought I let you know.

It looks like people were dying for kimbo to get knocked out soon or later. Do not knock the guy like that because i bet he can knock all you guys out in less than 14 seconds in a 1on1 fight. Tyson lost to buster douglas everybody has their off days. Kimbo deserved it for begin a prick in the beginning, but hey everybody has their off day. Cut the man some slack.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
