So i kind of have a stomach virus or some sort, so i've had a lot of time to myself to think about things. mostly school. I'm currently 18, about to start my freshmen year at a decent College, but at the same time i've already set myself behind from most others.

I spent the past 6 weeks having a blast on vacation back in my homeland, Vietnam, so when i came back, i found that my orientation date is very late. let's just say I will either get A) terrible teachers B) Terrible Scheduling for classes or C) no classes
Atleast thats how I see it. I can't register for classes until Orientation, which is Aug 18-19 and Fall semester starts Aug 21, so yeah i'm very late.

besides that, i've been thinking about what I do in my free time. When i'm home, I spend a lot of time in my room, either on the computer or on the Laptop. I recently got a gym membership, and yes i do drive, but i dont have a job to pay for gas. I have a bit of money from my Grampa ( for a highschool graduation present) but i obviously dont want to use it all on gas.

Im just wondering, this is for all the older members here. What are some things you wish you could go back and do if you had the chance? Right now the 2 big things I'm obligated to Attempt are
1) Getting a Job. Any job.
2) If not working, volunteering. Hospital, animal shelter, Library. Just something to avoid staying home.

I have no work experience, so I figured that by getting volunteer experience, i could slip that as "Experience" on my resume.

What do you guys think? Honestly I just want to be old one day and think " man I had some good times" and experiences. Of course I have friends, but for the most part they have jobs, so they are more busy. I was actually thinking of joining the Navy After I finish college.

Yeah get a job. I did volunteering a lot in high school most of it is BS. I worked in a restaurant this summer and I love it, they pay me and I learn a skill for myself. Other than that I would suggest trying to get a job in a field you like, even if its an internship. Plus a workplace like a restaurant gives you a lot of people to talk to and just hang out.

I would have left my ex and moved to LA. I would have taken that job in England. I would have moved to Saudi Arabia for a year. I would have married that great girl in college. She was everything I wanted. Every single time I let other people either scare me out of acting, but the main thing was, I was in doubt of my own abilities. So in retrospect, I would have believed in myself more than anything else.

Just do something. Anything. Don't stand still, keep moving forward. If you think you want to try something..try it. What can it hurt, all it can do is kill ya, and that's gonna happen anyway, you can be scared or fearless, the end is still gonna come, so be fearless until the end.

For starters, do anything but waste time with stupid activities (eg: computer games)
Make the "future you" proud! :)

I most feel sorry for the missed opportunities with women.
Sometimes (eg: when I see/read about boys that are highly successful with girls) I start to wonder and imagine.

What if I had the balls to do something about that very feminine & hot, 23y.o. girl that wanted to fvck me when I was 16? How cool would it be for the horniest of teens to have sex with a girl that much older?

How would it have been like if I had a beautiful gf (or many) in highschool and we would have been fvcking like rabbits before/during/after school?
The same goes for college.

How would it have been like if I had hooked up with those girls that had the hots for me at those seaside camps?

etc.etc.etc.

There are also other things I wish I could relive, but these I feel like they could have been forming experiences which I have missed.

To any younger man reading this: Act on those things that you really wish you'd do! Regret is a b!tch!

The recommendations to most of your questions depends on one big thing: are you going away to college or living at home and commuting?

One thing though:

Since the courses are going to be picked over, you're probably going to have to settle for a patchwork schedule or morning classes.

The most important thing you can do, academically, is get the best instructors/professors that you can. Seriously, a good professor can make a hard class interesting and fun, while a bad professor can make an easy class a nightmare with tons of work and shitty grading policies.

I wish I never would have gotten into so many LTR's.
I wish I would have lived up my bartender status even more than I already had (New chick pretty much every week - could have done better).

That's about it, I guess.

I don't regret too many things.

Do as much as you can while you are still young and don't limit yourself.

i hear morning classes are better, so i do want them. i also want good professors as well.

As for a job, im having a bit of difficulty. I tried applying online, but I hear its much better to apply in person, and the places I do apply never return my calls or anything. but of course, im gunna keep looking.

As for the ladies, i'm actually very pleased to say im not having too many problems with them. as far as i can tell, i'm doing very well with them, so that's outta the picture. especially since im going to college. Btw im staying at home .
