My gut feeling is the first girl was trying to set you up with a friend because she is already "taken." I'm not necessarily saying she has a bf, but maybe a secret friend with benefits. Or she finds you attractive but not her type.

Trying to get an exclusive date with her is gonna be difficult. I would just keep her a friend to meet other chicks.

I doubt she is that interested in you, she needs others around for her to be with you, blockers, making it difficult for you to make any moves.
as for her social skills not being the best, I doubt thats the case.
also, movies for first dates arent such a good idea, thats for when you and the girl have a few miles on the clock.
doing something fun, preferably with alcohol and where you will get a chance toescalate is best.

Well I'm not surprised, this has always been the case...the one I like don't like me and the ones I don't like will like me.

I just wonder what it's like to get someone you really like, and I'm gonna be wondering for a very long time I guess :(
Then stop crying in your beer and go make something happen.

As my man The Boss, Bruce Springsteen once said...

"You can't start a fire...
Can't start a fire without a spark...
You can't start a fire...
Sittin' around cryin' from a broken heart...
You can't start a fire...
worryin' about your little world falling apart..."

Stop crying and go do.

Get a Filipina, and be done with it. She can and will pay you 20k a year, if you go at it correctly, for 5 years. you can retire on that,if you use it wisely.

Don't get all butthurt OP. the responses above don't seem overly or gratuitously negative.
And besides, you can't ask for advice and expect to hear what you want hear. You're always going to get stuff you don't want to hear or accept, but that advice is usually the most appropriate.
