But I don't see where it is coming from.

I cut down on eating, started running 1 to 2 miles in the morning 5 days a week. And I walk about 5 miles a day. Been doing this for probably about 2 months.

But I do not notice any real signs of weight loss, am I really that fat?

5' 7" 219-220 pounds when I started

5'7" 201-203 pounds Now.

Is there any place where body fat is lost first? Like deep within the stomach or in places that aren't noticeable? I noticed that my pants are not as tight but somebody fill an amateur in.

unless you lost a lot of muscle, 20lbs on a 5'7" frame should be significant.

your body pulls fat based on some special formula that's basically related to your genetics. for example, at my current weight i tend to notice it come off (or go on) my face and stomache. but everyone is different.

If you are not eating enough protein, you have probably burnt off more muscle than fat with all your exercise. Not good!

Ideally, exercise (whether it's weights or cardio) should be followed by a good amount of protein and you should generally be eating well in order to maintain muscle mass, raise your metabolism and burn fat.

It's a common misconception that cutting down on eating and exercising more will give you a great physique, which is why nutritional research is extremely important when trying to lose (or gain) weight.

I still eat, I didnt do some crazy calorie cutting crap... Haha, I dont deprive myself of food I just cut down from eating like a complete beast. I think I found where the fat came off at....my back haha...I was looking in the mirror and noticed my back is becoming more defined....odd.

Yeah, if your diet is ok, then it may just be a matter of time before you see the results. It's surprising how much fat gets stored in the back, but you will probably find the problem areas (belly on men usually) are the last to trim up.

Hi pvf. You probably using the cutting back or bulking up program from these forums.

At your height and that weight I would guesstimate you're between 27 and 30 percent body fat. For more precise measurement get scale that measure body fat, they're cheap these days. Don't matter if not as accurate.

20 lbs is a significant loss, and is noticeable in 3 aspects. A) Your face changes and people notice that first and compliment you, B) Your pants drops a size or two and you have to make your belt tighter to keep them on yourself, and C) You can see in the mirror how much more masculine you are.

However. If you're unable to see this, then you doing something wrong. Right off the hand I can think that you are following advice from these forums on cutting back. I am unable to say that it's wrong or anything like that, because I haven't followed it, but when compared to the thing I'm doing it's way different. If I'd do it I wouldn't loose weight.

I'm doing FMS, and in the same amount of time, 2 months, since March the 1st, I've lost close to 40 lbs, my face is way different, my pants require a smaller belt and without belt they are falling off. My shape is different also, I've got big shoulders, and my biceps are 17 inches, big and you can see that I'm cut. I recommend this program for anyone, because I have positive experience with it. www.fitnessmadesimple.com

Have a look at Jame's pictures, this program is a way to look like that. Think out of the box my man, don't be the sheep.

If you lose 20lbs and can't see a difference = you're losing as much muscle as you are fat, therefore not changing body composition and looking the same, just smaller. (same body composition at 220 and 200)

Perhaps it's not the results but the lack of approval from outside. People don't notice, or they aren't interested noticing.... Now that you want to show us difference and say that there is a difference, 180 degrees different from the original post.

Any program you pick and stick with will produce difference, no need for pictures.

Perhaps, it's not important what they think or notice, it's about you, not them.

I think your right...I was focusing too much attention on waiting for others to compliment me. I guess that wont happen until I really start making drastic changes....because the people I see are people I see constantly, so the more they see me they arent going to notice any difference because progress isnt super fast.

Im just gonna stick with what I am doing, good news is my buddy can get me free gym access now, so I can start working out instead of just running.
