Time for me to post a completely unhelpful rant about the current state of dating and women. Humour me for a minute, then we can all get on with our lives again.

I've got a bug up my a$$ about two things.

Firstly, the profiles, Jesus Christ. I mean I get it, it stands to reason that the vast majority are going to be dull, humourless, and unimaginative because that's all the average person is capable of. Nothing new there. But where are the exceptional female profiles? They should exist, but I'll be damned if I can find any. I've read thousands of profiles over the last decade, and the best ones will have one or two things going for them: a little glimmer of self-awareness or an original joke to get your hopes up... and then BAM, it's straight back into the same Eat Pray Love inspired bullsh!t you've heard a thousand times before. The "good" ones only stand out because the rest are so damn bad.

I'm not saying I'm exceptional, or that that I deserve an exceptional woman - I'm saying there are no exceptional female profiles - and that's weird. (Actually, I can think of some pretty reasonable explanations, but why spoil the fun).

Secondly, the rampant "career" hopping has been irritating me more than usual of late. You know what I'm talking about here. She had a perfectly decent/productive/boring job, but now she's studying Psych to pursue a more fulfilling (and lower paid) career as a social worker. Not the slightest bit of shame about it - and I think it's because women never consider that men might evaluate them as liabilities or burdens - that's a huge failing on their part.

Exceptional profile = she looks exceptional

Why are you focused so much on what they write? If they're attractive and haven't written anything crazy, what's the problem? It's like you're looking for some perfect Disney princess.

Regarding the profiles: No need for her to put any effort in it when all she has to do is be single and female and guys will be flocking to her, regardless. I mean sh|t would you make a nice resume and cover letter and put on a suit for a job interview if all you had to do was write down "Give me a job", and show up to the interview in shorts and a T-shirt, and you were guaranteed a job?

Regarding the career hopping: I think many of them do it at a point in their lives, typically the mid to upper 30s, when they have done that first divorce and became a single mommy... But quickly realized that even with the useless office job they flirted their way into and their child support, it's not enough to live in any kind of comfort. Maybe that next sugar daddy they had their eyes on when they left the hubby didn't work out so well?

Online Dating is mainly a dumpster full of lousy women. Think of the reasons why they're using online dating. They use it for attention, they're stuck at home with 3 kids, or they're too fat and unattractive to get anything in real life. They're also swimming in a dating pool full of AFC turds, trying to find a sweet chocolate bar.

I honestly believe that online dating ruins an already trashy woman. The decent women who try online dating abandon it quickly because they realize it's festering with 5hitty men.
