It's OK to have oneitis, but not OK...

I was thinking over the last few years about my responses to women and how I feel when I first meet a new girl that I like.

That feeling you get when you think about a particular girl you;re interested alot and find yourself wondering where things will go between you is something I have always liked.

It might be a oneitis of sorts but if you can keep from displaying the symptoms of oneitis openly, I think it is harmless.

Also making it an innate habit to flirt with every girl you meet is essential in creating opportunities and preventing full blown oneitis.

I like that feeling of hope I get with a new girl. Maybe I'm talking crazy since I just broke up with my gf, but you never know.

I don't know about this. I mean, maybe it just depends on where you are in your life. If you are looking to screww a bunch of ladies or go travel the world without any baggage, then I think oneitis is a bad thing. But for someone who is looking to settle down and serious, maybe even start a family, it probably is a great thing, as long as that one relationship has moved to that point and only if you are the one who decides to settle. It's time we decided to take the control out of the female's hand.

nothing wrong with liking one girl more than the rest... the danger lies in thinking that your happiness depends on your relationship with her, instead of your own merits, accomplishments, goals, dreams, etc.
