I hear that alot. At first I didn't believe it. I've always been huge on the GAME aspect of picking up women, but I never clicked on the style points. That is up until recently. I woke up one morning and said "What the hell, if it to be...it will be me" I went to the mall with my female friends and we rebuilt my entire wardrobe from scratch. Ironically, they would tell me that what attracted them to guys was completely the opposite of what I was comfortable with, nonetheless I went along with it.
Some things I noticed that I found interesting:
The made me get a pedicure,...now this seems like a no brainer now, but at the time I was sitting there like.."my feet look ok...ya'll are dumb" but now I see the difference.
They had me go with a more laid back yet co-ordinated style. I went from saggy wide leg jeans to, smaller- straight legged jeans. The jeans they usually picked out were faded, ripped, and had holes in it...but they universally agreed that it looked fantastic. All my basketball shorts and saggy jeans were replaced with cargo pants. No brainer there.
Shirts, my shirts went from long to form fitting. They would tell me that it accents the pants more if my shirt isn't extremely long, and that it draws more attention to my **** (TRUE). Most of my shirts now are plain Polo shirts that go well in any occasion, and look good with cargos, and jeans.
Accessories:
This is what was interesting....I told them I wanted colognes that I could put on a three or four day rotation and all have completely different tones, that way its always a mystery what I'm wearing. We narrowed it down to 3 colognes; BVGARI Black, Versace Dreamer, and Salvatore Ferragamo. All completely different, all reminded the ladies of good times in their lives. I was gonna go with something more well know...but I REALLY love these fragrances..if you get time check them out.
Next came the watches, I normally don't even wear watches or any jewelry so it came to a shock to me that they said that watches and bracelets were something that they look for in a man, We settled on 3 watches, all Fossil (theres something about fossil) One Black, one stainless silver, and one leather with a silver face. All three perfectly complement the colognes, which complement the aura I want to give off.
Lastly came the shoes, No more nike. Nikes were moved down the line to only being used for my morning jogs, In their place, flip flops, stacy adams, and dress shoes. The flip flops helped me understand why I needed to get a pedicure.
Now it took me at least 2 weeks to get used to this new style and become confortable with it, but now I am. I get far more looks now that before, I feel more comfortable in my game and it just so much more comfy. So let me ask you guys....WHATS YOUR STYLE?
