I always strive to be a gentleman, i open doors for my dates, walk on the outside of the sidewalk, pull chairs and so on, i do it for myself because i like to have class. In this persuit i've also started to carry around a few items with me, first was a pocketknife, and now i recently bought a few handkerchiefs and now i always carry one. Currently i'm trying to remove curse words out of my vocabulary.

What do you guys carry?
What do you guys think men should always carry with them?
What old habits you think should be brought back?
Are you a gentleman?

How is the gentlemen thing working for you, I'm curious?

I always carry a pack of Altoid mints.

Old habits to bring back? Women need to be put back in the kitchen , get off Facebook, and take care of their man.

Get some really strong spearmint/peppermint gum. And the term 'gentlemen' is very controversial. It is all a matter of perspective. I personally, don't care and refuse to care of the expectations others may or may not have of me.

Gentlemen or not, I am a man of respect.

Some old habits of mine I want to bring back are doing without thinking (the societal rules of what NOT to do should be COMMON SENSE to me so that I wouldn't need to think about them).

Items that every "gentleman" should carry?

1. A cloak (so that you could toss it over a puddle when the damsel needs to cross the street)
2. A handkerchief (because using disposable paper napkins is too unromantically hygienic)
3. The strongest cologne you can get your hands on (because showering is so middle class...)

In case you're also wondering what every man should carry:

1. A gun (if you live in America and your jurisdiction allows concealed carry)
2. Wallet
3. Wristwatch (one must-have male accessory)
4. Condoms

You should also keep a knife (strong and sharp enough to cut a seat belt) and flashlight in your car.

I haven't walked out the door without a firearm on me once in the last 10 years. I'd feel naked without it :D

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

I am not from the United States. Is carrying guns without too much of a whim, quite common in the US? I am thinking there could be women carrying weapons who'd casually put it to use if they did not like your approach.

One of my Grandfathers (1919-1984) said "Always be a gentleman and a scholar", and "if you have your health you have everything".

Times have changed and we men must return to the days of being survivors.

There are so many things to understand it takes years.

Bigneil's Top 10 Items Men Should Carry (In order of importance)

1) Wallet with cash, credit and license.
2) Nice shoes that are shined.
3) Belt.
4) Watch (items 1-3 should match in leather color and metal type).
5) Sport Jacket.
6) Smart phone.
7) Pen and notebook.
8) Knife (check this out).
9) Keychain flashlight (check this out).
10) Handgun (possibly out of order based no your needs) - I prefer what is considered the best by many:Glock 19 (take a class, learn to shoot, record and memorize the 6 digit alphanumeric serial number, get a concealed carry permit and remember to always go through the unload procedure twice in a row to make it foolproof). NOTE: Your date will NEVER know you have a gun unless it is needed. There is nothing sexy about your gun and brandishing a weapon is a felony. She might even call the police on you so be careful. She can get a restraining order and you will lose your permit. Girls and gun ranges don't mix. Never point your gun at anything you don't want to destroy.

i dont carry much on myself, but the two things i always have no matter what are a pocket knife and a watch. i stopped carrying a wallet cause i found it annoying.

the knives i carry are emersons, spydercos, benchmades, and Zero Tolerance.

watches are either seiko divers or casio g shocks.

Two smartphones (in case one fails) so you can be up to date by the millisecond with social media.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.
