I work the front desk of a hotel, so I notice alot of couples come in. I have noticed women (attractive women) tend to be more forgiving of a few extra pounds or less than handsome facial features if that man happens to be over 6 feet tall.

Here is MY OPINION on Height. If you are man who is

Over 5'10"- You are considered tall in the U.S.A (atleast in the Northeast) and you DO have an advantage in attracting women. Only about 25% of US men are over 5'10"

5-8"-5-10"- About 50% of men fall into this category in the US. You don't have the height adv, but height should NOT be an issue when getting a date.

5-5"5-8"- You are short and at a disadvantage. In order to succeed, you MUST have an above avg face and/or body.

Under 5'5"- You are screwed!!

I agree with his post too. I've know several guys that were 5'6-5'7, that did good with women. It's people like wutang that go on and on about height when he's like what 5'8-5'9 that's crazy.

If you're under 5'5" don't short-change yourself by thinking that you definately are screwed for life. Use 5'6" woman as step-stools u can use to help you kiss the taller woman. Seriously, let's not debate this again, they can have confidence and game any chick they care to.

One thing that guys who harp on this argument fail to realize that the height itself is not as important as the PROPORTION between men and women.

Maybe the 5'4" dude wont have the easiest time gaming tall models, but that doesn't mean there aren't TONS of hot shorties running around who will feel safe in his arms.

It's all a matter of perspective and you can probably debate the success rates of these fellas, but I can guarantee that the ones still macking despite the odds are not walking around believing they are "f*cked".

Yeah Wu Tang is taller than me so he can't really back up what he's saying...with that being said he's kinda true, but everyone check this out, I've been ENLIGHTENED!!!!!

Girls necessarily don't need a TALL guy, rather, height plays in a way so that if you are taller than her enough, it gives her a sense of comfort and shows your masculinity on a subconscious level. If you don't have height, you can still use other ways to display "comfort" and "masculinity" to the girl, though it will be harder...until you find a method of your own. And we all know displaying masculinity leads to pu$$y.

With that being said, being a short guy myself, I just date even shorter girls!!

It's one thing to be short, some girls might not like that. It's another thing to be short AND bitter... No girls like that.

Whoever here would be considered short and is bitter about it... You just need to find your niche man. I have several friends who I swear don't break 5 feet, but a couple of them are the baddest mother****ers around and I have heaps of fun every time I'm around either of them.

Your height isn't going to change, but what value you put on your height can.

Well I don't want to throw a spanner in the works but firstly you need to be sure about your actual height first, lots of people say they are a given height but from experience on average we are 1 inch shorter than we might want to think. Also, I see plenty of average to slightly under average guys who have girlfriends, it's very common, so I don't think it's a valid excuse; but then again, it very much depends on the competition, ratio and stigmas in that given region. If you're in a region with tons of wealthy white middle class 18-25 year olds then yes, 5' 7" will be a big disadvantage.

That article said don't bulk up. Why not? If it makes you look better, it makes you look better. Bulk up because it makes you look good, NOT because it "compensates" for your height, thats the key.

Well jeez wutang if it's all about height and your 5'8 now and all it takes is another 3 or 4 inches, why don't you get some really tall platform shoes or stilts and go out. Then you'll easily and magically attract a hot girl lol.

Do you see how ridiculous your belief is? I've none guy 5'7 and under who got hot girls, and guys over 6'1 who got nothing. What is it going to take before it sinks in that if a guy's around 5'8 then height is virtually irrelevent and there some other factor(s) afoot?

I'm a half inch shorter and only ONCE in my life has someone made fun of my height. I made a crack at the shape of their head and we both laughed.

My guess is that your insecurity is so strong that its palpable. People just get a whiff of it and know exactly how to push your buttons.

Here's a little tip for ya. Next time someone rips on our height, look them right in the eye with a self-satisfied smirk and tell them

It really does not matter what you do, working out wise. To get women to like you when you're short, you have to be extremely handsome and rich and have a great personality. ANYTHING short of that and you will date fat chicks if you're lucky.

I'm NOT giving up, though. Some cute woman out there, for whatever weird reason, doesn't mind dating a guy my height. I just gotta find her. It's just gonna take a lonnng time.

Also, it's not under 5'5 that you're screwed, it's 5'7. I've never, ever scene a guy under 5'7, regardless of looks, date a hot girl.

You're height determines the attractiveness of the girls you date, not the height of girls you date. A hot 5'2 girl wants a guy over 6', and she can get him.

Yes, that is true and it is where I get my 6' tall stature from (Irish). Northern Europeans, Western Europeans and some Slavic countries (Poles, Croats) are generally tall. Southern Europeans, Asians and Hispanics are either short or average.

I guess that is why 6' seems tall in New Jersey. THere are many Italians, Asians and Hispanics who are short.

I will also agree that any guy UNDER 5'8" needs to be above average in other physical areas (body and/or face), but I DISAGREE about the being rich part.

While working at the hotel, one of the HOTTEST girls all summer was attending a wedding with a short guy (5'6" or so). The guy WAS good-looking, but I am not sure if he was rich. I also saw a 5'5" US Marine with a pretty good-looking wife because they were getting married at my hotel.

Yes, I HAVE seen guys under 5'8" or 5'9" with attractive girls.

BTW, people who make fun of others lack of stature are ignorant. You did NOT CHOOSE to be short nor can you change it. However, people are ALOT LESS FORGIVING of fat or a below average looking face (unless it was the result of a traumatic accident).

People who see you as less of a being because you are not tall are STUPID.
