Hey guys, whats up.

My work out is monday-friday 1-2hrs a day or till i finish.

monday- chest and back and triceps
tuesday biceps and shoulders
wednesdays-leg and cardio
thursday- biceps and shoulders
friday- chest and back and triceps

I don't do alot of reps for triceps,

chest 9reps, 4 sets (decreasing reps by 1 every set and adding more weight)

back 8 reps, 3 sets (same as above)

triceps 10 reps, 2 sets,

biceps 10 reps, 3 sets, (like chest)

shoulders 8 reps, 2 sets

legs- use the machines and run/jog mostly

My diet is potato salad and bread, and light butter. I eat like 3 spoons of potato salad and one piece of bread with butter in the morning. Thats all I eat for the day. I take supplements and drink loads of water. I give myself a freeday satuday every 2 weeks, to eat meat, or anything else and then i do cardio again saturday.

I'm not fat or anything, haven't measure my bodyfat yet. I'm 5'9 143lbs right now. I was 155lb 2 months ago. I'm not tryin got be a bodybuilder or anything, I'm lifting to get cut and fit. Not trying to gain mass at the moment.

But my question is, in the long run is this a safe way of eating? Right now i'm not feeling bad or anything but i'm not sure if eating this way is good for me in the future. Was wondering what ya'll thought.

I think this post is bogus.

If that is all you eat, then you are seriously malnourished.

Well no sh1t! You're not eating anything!

Your workout all depends on what your goals are...do you want to be massive or just somewhat bulky or just stay in shape?

How is it malnourished? some people go fasting for weeks. every 2 weeks one day i eat whatever

well i seen people who lift still have a gut/belly/fat/what have you.
i'm not trying to get bulky just lean and cut. I'm not missing out on my vitamins or anything. Just my food intake is potato salad and bread

You need calories. If your body cannot find calories, especially after lifting, it will break down muscle to replensish glycogen. You also need a surplus of calories over your base metabolic rate to build muscle, which there is no way you are at a surplus with that much food.

Fasting is fine; but fasting and building muscle do not go together. Right now you are causing alot of stress because you are making your body not only have practicly zero calories, but also putting it through the task of rebuilding muscle.

I am sure there are PLENTY of vitamins you cannot get from potatoes, bread, and butter. Vitamin K, B12, Calcium, Iron, Postassium, all things lacking in all 3 of your foods, as well as there being very little of anything in that small a amount of food.

5'9 and 143lb , dude thats quite skinny as it is. By lifting these weights everyday AND not even providing the nutrients that your body will need ( protiens, carbs, calories,supplements etc ) you will infact eat away at your muscle mass. Your lifting weights and not eating anything, what do you think will happen?

If you want to be lean and cut then your going about it the wrong way. Drink lots of water a day ( i mean A LOT ) and reduce carb / kcal intake. That will use up your body fat and make you more lean.

Also i can see your workout timetable is kinda wack:

I wouldnt hit chest AND back on the same day. The aim is to work 1 large muscle group with one small muslce group. Chest + triceps go fine. Also i see that you hitting the same muscles twice a week. You are overtraining these muscle groups and not providing correct nutrition so there fore you WILL lose a lot of muscle mass. Another thing i see is that you do legs + cardio in the same session. Separate cardio with your lifting sessions , dont do them in the same work out. Either cardio in the morning and lift during the evening or vice versa.

Re-check your routine man...your starving and overworking your body, stop it

OK dude...start eating. A LOT. Start a Max-OT workout (you can find the PDF for that here). Once you gain some weight (and start eating right)...you'll probably gain some body fat, but it sounds like you are pretty damn skinny so it shouldn't make too big of a difference. Max-OT should put some muscle on you pretty quick if you eat right and supplement good (at least 150 g daily of protein, a little bit of creatine and glutamine). You won't look "ripped" and "lean" without any muscle at all...and at your weight, you're gonna need some.

What you're doing right now is forcing your body to cannibalize itself.
