So, I was best friends with this guy back in high school. I mean, we were like brothers. Since then, it's been all downhill.

Backstory:
A few year's ago, his girlfriend broke up with him for me. After a year or so, we broke up. A couple months later, she went back to him. Around the end of our relationship, it was constant arguing. I said some things that probably still scars her to this day (called her a *****, slut, b*tch, etc).

Needless to say, we were back on speaking terms. He had his girlfriend back and I openly admitted that he was "the better man". By saying that, I mean, he got the girl. I backed off. She was all his. My eyes were pointed elsewhere.

Anyway, a few months ago, I get a call. He's on the other end. Something seemed strange, though. Something was out of place. I blew it off thinking he was drunk. He says, "come outside, I have something really cool to show you" (never a good idea to actually go outside when someone says that). I reluctantly put my shoe's on and went outside. But I kept the phone on me just-in-case. He was standing by his car. I was still cautious. Something still didn't seem right. I didn't see anyone else there with him, so I walked up to him with a normal smile. "What? What do you have to show me?". As I got closer, a friend of his jumped out from behind the garage and hit me in the back of the head. He must of hit me in the right spot, because I went down without a fight. I don't really remember much. I remember being unable to put up a fight. I remember the guy yelling for me to get up and fight like a man. I was actually begging for him to stop, because it was about the only defense I had at that moment (it made no difference that I had my phone on me, since I completely forgot it was there). He kicked me in the head multiple times (sometimes, I think I should go get that checked out. I still get some dizzy spells). Note: They were both in the army, so that would explain knowing which spots to hit. Anyway, finally after about 15 minutes of litterally getting my head beat in, my friend told the guy to stop and they drove away.

Why the f*ck did he get me jumped, anyway? He got the girl in the end.

Today:

My friend contacts me via myspace and say's, "haven't talked to you in awhile. So, uh, hi. Haha" and then proceeds to send a friend request. I responded, "are you f*cking kidding me?". I mean, seriously, the dude has me jumped and he sends me this sh*t and expects everything to be cool again since we haven't talked in months? Probably because his girlfriend has been talking to me and he's really possesive (if you couldn't tell).

1. You should get their asses court martialed.
2. Get your dizzy spells checked out. If you can pin it on them...sue the s.hit outta them!
3. A couple months later send him a message that says, "Hey hows it going? Haven't talked to you in awhile....see how stupid this sounds? Jelousy possessed, fake ass friends aren't worth my time. Go to hell!"

What I'm failing to understand about this story is why he isn't sending you this message from a prison library's computer after you called the police on him after this incident?

He probably could have been dishonorably discharged as well as possibly thrown in jail for a few months, you even had the phone record to partially prove the story as well as the wounds.

You know, I wondered the same exact thing. The cop that spoke to me comes into my work place all the time, so I get to speak to him every now and then.

Here's the story on the law end so far.

For some odd reason, they said that they would let him go if he told them the actual name of the attacker. As it turned out, the attacker didn't even live in this state. He was in town for the day. They said that they were most likely going to charge him for planning the attack and he failed to give them the information that they needed. He wasn't really co-operative.

The cop came in about a month ago and asked me, "did you hear anything about that guy, yet?". My jaw dropped because this was the officer that was supposed to be taking care of the case. He should have known what was going on. Naturally, I wanted to be co-operative so I said no and asked if he had. He said no. And I haven't heard anything yet. Basically, he got off scotch free and they completely forgot about my case. Pretty messed up. I called about it a few times and they said that they havent heard anything yet, but they're working on it. It's been a few months now, so im guessing they completly forgot about it and just let him go with a warning.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Moral of the Story: Don't screw with other people's women. You could have been murdered easily and this forum would have a few less posts.

He was in the army and I had no idea that she was his girlfriend at the time. He was sort of insecure about letting her meet me, so I had no idea until her and I began dating. He knew that stealing her wasn't intentional either.
