Is my home gym enough to get toned? PT worth the cash.

Here is the equipment I have basically at home, well images of it to give you an idea what I have. Do I need more fancy equipment? I'm not trying to get ripped like Zac Efron, but want to get my stomach toned and a little muscle. Note, I'm not fat! I'm slim! but I want some lean muscle and tighter abs.

Was also wondering when I have more cash next year to blow should I hire a personal trainer? A Tyrone lite at my work who's a gym freak, but lean muscle thinks they're a waste. He tells me most of the stuff you can just get off of youtube. He thinks the PT doesn't give you the full potential and secrets because they want to keep making money off you. Also, have a set of btoo.

A old Navy buddy of mine is a SEAL. He told me a long time ago, #1 thing is to drink water all the time. No milk, soda, juice, energy drinks, etc. Water only.

You're skinny asf, so you need to be all about surf and turf. Ribeye, NY strip, salmon, shrimp. Potatoes are also great.

From a veggie standpoint, you need to 'eat the rainbow.' Carrots, red cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli are a good place to start.

Tyrone lite and former Chad (59 yr old but still fit) told me having to eat good too! The downside is your grocery bill goes up though. Former Chad also never eats out hardly, hardly eats any greasy, fried foods and never drinks beer.

I was fat when I was like 22. Not obese but looked like Kyle Rittenhouse. Husky side. I used to drink a lot of soda and beer at that time. One summer I quit drinking soda except maybe once a week. I must have lost about 18lbs over a couple months without exercising.

You don't need to lose weight. You need to hit the weights, while eating a fairly high protein, high carb diet.

Doing a bunch of cardio on its own is pretty useless.

I doubt you'll take action on anything I suggested, but good luck in whatever you do.

I thought you should mix cardio in as well?

I guess a better example would be NHL players. They're trim muscle, many of them but they're doing tons of cardio not only during games but also in practice and riding the bikes and such.

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.

Read what I wrote, just one more time.

I said that stand alone cardio is pretty useless.

If you practice HIIT during your weights, it will also double as some cardio, since your heartrate will never drop below a certain level during the lift session.

@biggoal , The Forum covered your home gym and ab roller topics in Jan. & Mar. 2020 in your 259 & 31 post threads. I suggest you use the forum search feature and reread them. Posting an identical type of thread now looks like attention troll behavior and you don’t want that.
