Hey Dudes
I have not dated much at all in life.
I prefer the ol bar pull, but, its not been too lucrative this year.

I've not been on a date in a long time and I am nervous.
I dont like being seated directly across from someone. I prefer to sit side by side, or, if at a square table, in the adjacent spot.

Is this weird or is this a good move?

What about just sitting at a bar with someone?

Thanks.

Scope out your venues. If the place only offers booth/large table seating, it's not a good venue. You want side by side or in the adjacent spot at a table. Small tables are good for this, large tables are bad needless to say.

Many times I started across the table from my date, and when we both realized we were into each other, I got up and sat right beside her. Just what I prefer and easier to touch each other. Always to your benefit. Never once was it weird. Just say something like, you smell really good/look really good, I think I need to sit closer. And crack a big smile.

Side-by-side seating is the preferred seating arrangement for escalation.

I'll be honest, side by side can work great in alot of situations. You can easily have the girl end up sitting in your lap. I usually always do lol unless shes timid to in public.

Traditionally its best to start off sitting across from the girl anyways. But the way I setup dates, I take em to places where we can start off like that but then go end up in a place where we can be more intimate/closer to each other.
