Not literally all through the day, but whenever we get the chance we text back and forth without running out of topics from morning until night. Is it okay if I continue this habit? If I have to stop it, how to do it without seeming so sudden? FYI, I did this with my previous GF for 2 years. Thanks.

somebody has alot of time. This isen't a thing of stopping suddenly or not. Get hobbies so you're occupied, then you can't do this kinda sh*t... This kinda behaviour comes of as if you don't have anything to do + she'll never miss you cause you give her attention all day.
You wanna suddenly make it stop? Lock your cellphone in your desk for a week, put it off and tell her you lost it. Setup a date for the next week and see how much she missed you and how needy for attention she'll suddenly be.

1) You have nothing left to say when you actually meet each other as you've been talking all day anyway. She'll get bored with you.
2) The relationship shifts and suddenly serious topics are debated through text messages. This is never a good idea. Talking in real life is more difficult, but also more rewarding. You'll be more sensitive and you'll word things better, because you can see her reaction to what you say.
3) It's only a matter of time before the first misunderstanding leads to a huge fight. Text messages can easily be misinterpreted and suddenly things get ugly when nothing was really wrong in the first place.
4) Where's the mystery? And more importantly, where are your hobbies? Why do you have the time to text all day?

You must be super young. It's ridiculous to text that much. My gf and I of 2.5 years rarely text...maybe once every few days. Might email here and there while at work. In 2.5 years we might have commented on each others facebook a total of 3-5 times. No pics together on FB either. Otherwise we talk when we SEE each other, which is 4-5 times a week, including all weekend. THAT is the reason why we are still together and strong as ever after 2.5 years.

I've always disagreed with the majority when it comes to texting.
I text most women I'm seeing (or women I'm gaming) pretty much every day. It helps build rapport and interest, and has never gone against me. I also like to send a sexual text sometimes, tell her what I wish I was doing to her etc. It gets her turned on and builds the sexual tension. By the time we meet in person things are explosive. I've lost count of the girls who have masturbated over my text messages.
The only time it would be a problem is if you're texting constantly, being boring or if you're sending texts before you get any response, in which case you'll look like you're being clingy and have no life.
Keep them funny and interesting, maybe a few neg hits, or try to make them sexual. Also, be sure to vary the times you send them and some days just wait until late at night or the next day before you text her. You'll be on her mind all day and she'll keep checking her phone waiting for your text.
