Since I've been on this site, I think my hits with women have gotten worse. Does anyone else feel like that? I'm sure when I tally things up, I had longer and more meaningful relationships before I even knew about this site. And when I finished one relationship it wasn't amazingly long  before I met someone else, i.e. I was with someone more frequently. And I also had a lot of close female friends then.

To be fair, my confidence to approach and get numbers has improved. But that's it and nothing comes of it.

Before I started reading this site, it seems like I just used to get girls much more. And these girls were cool, I got on with them and my friends got on with them, and I had decent relationships with them overall. Now, I don't get anyone for ages.

I don't get it.

You have to keep in mind that 99% of the guys giving advice on this board are absolute miserable failures with women.

Jon E, he should take your advice on that. no wait a second, if your advice is correct then he shouldnt take your advice, because you're on this board.

hahaha.

i think this board is good for one thing and one thing only: helping guys avoid unnecessary heart ache by not knowing the difference between a good woman and one that is f*cking around with them.

outside of that, i agree, that some of the advice dished out is locker room c*ck talk.

but at the end of the day this is an interesting place to bat some ideas around.

also, i think its a bit out of context to say all the guys on here are miserable failures. i'd say most of the guys in life are miserable failures, as are women. there really are NOT that many truly successful relationships in the world.
50+% of marriages end in a trainwreck. another 25% are a mess (cheating, lying, lots of bullsh*t, etc.) but the codependency is working at the moment, another 15% are between two people that are no longer in love but are civil to each other, leaving perhaps 10% out there that were, are and will always be truly in love.

i think the ideas and discussions on this board are more insightful (even when they are wrong) that most of the ideas out in the real world.

just my 2 cents.

True, most guys on this site aren't great with women and a number of them who say they are, are lying.

That said, the articles, DJ Bible, and Hall of Fame posts from the main board are golden. Read them.

The founder of this site, Allen Thompson, isn't a failure with women and his writings are awesome. Read him and Dana Peach from the articles off the main site.

The message board? Nice place to vent, ask questions, dialog with other guys ... but take the advice with a large grain of salt. Also, if you do vent even mildly or just put out your own personal experience, you'll most likely get flamed, like I did when all I said was "it's the little things" that count. All the AFCs came running in flaming and trashing.

Read the articles and DJ Bible, that will help enough.

Yep, just read the DJ Bible and the articles and you're set. Boot camp also is a good training ground if needed. Keep reading!

Ill be another to suggest that you stick to the bible and especially the posts by Pook and Senior Fingers.

Ive got to the point now that I can almost immediately recognize the guys that know what they're doing, and unfortunately the large majority of guys spouting advice here don't have a clue as to what they're talking about.

There's some great knowledge here, but you shouldn't be looking to a web site to define your game - only you can do that. This site is not a substitute for real life experience, and no internet site will keep you warm at night.

As far as taking advice from other posters, as Bruce Lee said: take what is useful, discard what is not. There's some damn good posts once you filter out the background noise.

Oh, and AntiDump's posts are my personal favorites.

It could be something as simple as frustration at not progressing as well or as quickly as you think you should. Is that it?

If so, then no worries, just keep on keeping on. Your skills will improve and you`ll get the results you want.

If not, then start doing what you were doing before that was working for you. No need to reinvent the wheel.

As for new skills, try things out, have fun and if they get you the results you want, integrate them into the whole you so that they become a natural extension.

Cheers,
Mav

What's most likely happening is that you are learning and seeing things more consiously now, you are becoming more aware of processes which used to happen outside of awareness. As a result, you may be trying to force things to abide by a particular theory or model which is not natural for you.

I recently experienced things I thought I left in high school, but as a result of the many teachings I got quick control over them and logically calmed myself down. You have to let it go noa and recapture what you once had utilizing the knowledge you got here only as insight into why and how things are working.

What/who have you been reading? How long have you been on? This site can work for or against you, but you just have to know how to use it and where to look.

Some things may apply to you while other things don't, so be mind ful on the advice you're reading.

It's like reading a manual on how to ride a bike. Sure, the information can be perfect, but you still need to get on the bike, fall, and then go back to the manual.
