This always happens whenever I get a number. Even though I feel confident I would be able to set up a meet with a chick, I still feel a little nervous as I wait for her to pick up the phone. I even get a little flushed as well, as if i feel out of place trying to bed a hottie. I kinda feel like "man, i hope she picks up and does not act flakey."

I know I should drop the ego and be confident in myself, but it seems that my body just gets a negative reaction whenever i set myself up to call my prospects.

One such convo, i felt this way, but after i was able to get some rapport going, i kinda calmed down, but i still felt a tad bit of nervousness. I was able to set up a meet for this tuesday to play some mini golf, so i am excited at that prospect.

I then proceeded to call another number i had pulled. No answer, which was fine. But it seemed i felt a lot more comfortable after i had somewhat of a success with the previous number. Like that nervousness had completely dissappeared. I wonder what would have happened had the first chicked acted flakey?

So how do you guys explain this? Would calling more prospects over time eventually rid my nervous feelings leading up to her picking up the phone?

I think "nervous" is the wrong word. I don't think there's anyone who doesn't feel a little apprehension. Even the greatest stage performers are nervous in the few seconds before they hit the stage.

But once they're on stage it's smooth sailing. And they don't worry about it.

Its the fact that your thinking about it to much before calling, practicing what your going to say if she says ____

Think of it this way, what time does she get to mentally prepare? (explaining many of the 'why the hell did she say ___' posts on here, she doesnt know either!!!!)

This does get easier with time, true...you do end up butchering your way through plenty of conversations before you turn that nervousness into energy but its worth it.

Also, it is possible to work the nervous angle if you're dealing with the right girl....Unless she is truly used to being hit on she is most likly a bit nervous herself.

Now others on this board will likly freak out, but not all girls want a slick alpha male ...you truly have to decide on the girl as to how much of the DJ to use.

Ya' its ok to get nervous - happens to me too. I read it somewhere that nervousness lasts a maximum of 5 minutes in any situation so just remember that its only the initial part of it that will be hard then its all easy.
