I am curious as to why the IRS goes after individuals so rapidly but let construction companies and contractors slide under the radar?

I know several people who are netting over $100,000 per year but claim only $30,000 to $40,000. They write off and deduct everything and are getting rich because of this.

So many scammers getting rich!

....BTW i work in real estate and i'm freaking honest, as the consequences are not worth it to me!

Maybe because generally companies benefit the society more than the individual.

Because money talks.

Most companies are richer than most individuals, so if they want to hold off on payments they can, since they have the leverage to do so.

Money isn't talking b/c they are only reporting a fraction of what they are making. And these companies are small, as they employee less then 10 people.

On paper, individuals are obviously making more and paying more taxes; as opposed to the business owners i know.
