IQ IQ IQ What's next?

The title was a joke.

Anyway, please do not state your IQ, I do not care nor does anyone here.


What I'm curious about is, is anyone here in Mensa or Triple Nine Society or in any of that kind of high IQ club?

I plan on joining the Mensa when I have enough free time to worry about it.

I have been told by many people that I'm quite capable and that I might fit the top 1-3% intelligence level of the world.

I have four scheduled appointments with a psychologist since I was told the real life test is more accurate than the internet test.

My psychologist said she can give me the result better when I take the second and third.

She said the first I did excellent. Ho hum.


First please note, as far as I'm concerned, I'm doing this for fun, second off, keep in mind, IQ does NOT mean intelligence, it means nothing. Even EQ means nothing.

Significant amount of Mensa members are unemployed or poor, that should tell you that IQ means nothing when it comes to success in economic terms.

All it is is that, strong logical thinking. That's it.

Einstein didn't have a high IQ.

Little note: The reason why I'm being such a paranoid is because on my forum, I've been told off that if I join the Mensa world, I'll be conceited and that I'm doing it for bragging right. I'm not. I'm doing it for fun, if I don't get in, oh well. Just want to get that straight.

I looked into Mensa, but they wanted me to pay to take to test and then pay every year to be a member. It didn't seem very, uh, smart and stuff.

Actually MENSA is very smart. They get to make a profit simply by pandering to the egos of smart people

Its just another social club, where the main interest is high IQ topics. It is really not that big a deal. It sounds a bit dull to me. I would only join if I felt super high IQ people were the only ones I could deal with.

What is interesting , is the high level of unemployement and depression among those types. Smarts are'nt everything.

Honestly, I thought Mensa was free, all you had to do was pass their test?

How much is it?

Other than that, if it's true that I have to pay, I'm hoping to get in and then leave. Guess you can say "he was in the Mensa, not bad huh?"

I'm still going to do it for fun.

I don't care about the people inside, to be honest, they aren't even smart if they don't know how to use their intelligence for the better.

I considered joining them once. I went to a meeting and met a few people. They were really nice, but there wasn't anybody in my age group. I was about 27 at the time. Most of them were in their 40s and up.

they really know how to make money, they have a series of free tests that any one can get through, they are basicly fake tests. The real one which they call the 3rd and final test, is the one thats hard and at this point they charge you a lot of money to take it!
