Two girls I am into are friends. I got invited to the birthday party for lets call her (A). (A) tells me should would love for me to come. I am going to go and was wondering whats the proper etiquette? Should I get her a gift and also should I ask her friend lets call her (B) to help me pick out a gift for (A)? I am more into (B) and I think she knows this but (A) still shows me interest.

O.P is most likely their spritzing, mincing hairstylist humming Broadway show tunes while awaiting Sosuave replies.

Why would you buy a gift for a girl you're not dating?

I'm gonna take a different view. Why should you go to a BIRTHDAY party empty handed? Buy her something, just keep it simple and inexpensive. You don't want to be the only cheap b@stard at the party that got "A" nothing.

Whether "B" does or does not buy "A" anything is neither your business nor your problem. If they are friends, she probably will. If she doesn't, you will be the classy one and she'll feel lower than you (good). If she does, then you are both thoughtful.

Then continue to game "B" at the party. This may create jealousy in "A" because you thought of her, but didn't try to pick her up.

In a way, it's better that you DON'T game "A.". She can be used for networking and, possibly invite you to future parties to meet other chicks.
