Wrong. It really depends on the girl, and how much interest you can express on IM or the phone. I'm dating a girl 2500km away if that has any relation.

Always the best way. Along with said above girl, I also date locally, so I'm not 'being stupid and waiting a long time to meet this girl that lives a country away'

It's easy to meet girls online. Why wouldn't you do it? It won't get you experience with the front end of picking up but you can talk on the phone, go out with them, maybe get some action.

Don't skip all that because of some vague notions that it's not the most 'respectable' or 'skilled' way to get girls according to some website.
