A post that takes a look at a study that correlated money, happiness and frequency of sex:

I think, like the author of the blog post hints, that this is just another part of the social matrix....people lie on social surveys and say what society expects them to say "Yes we have TONS of sex and we are SO happy in our marriage yes yes!"– People who report being the most happy have had just one sexual partner in the past year.
– Married people have more sex than those who are single, widowed, divorced or separated.
– About half of all women over 40 years old reported having NO sexual partners in the previous year. Only about 20% of men over 40 reported the same thing.
– Having more sex was quantified by the researchers as bringing a similar amount of happiness as making (or saving) huge sums of money: increasing the frequency of one’s sexual encounters from once per month to once per week, in fact, created as much happiness as having $50,000 per year.
– Apparently, a lasting marriage creates as much happiness as an income of $100,000 per year; a single person would need a salary of $100,000 / yr to report as much satisfaction as married couples of the same education level and job status.
