What are your guy's thoughts on instant messaging a girl to get to know her before meeting up with her? A lot of guys use e-mails and myspace pages and Instant messaging seems more effective to me.

A lot of guys on these forums have hang ups about using ims and txts.
Personally i don't think it matters, as long as you convey the same personality, confidence and lack of neediness in your communication it doesn't matter what form it's in. I use phone calls when i'm gonna meet up with the girl before hand, because it's easier to communicate but other than that txts are fine for a couple words.
